KOPRI was separated from KORDI and became an independent polar re-search institution

2004

2006 Check validity on establishing data center Visited AADC and discussed transfer AADC’s system to KOPRI

• Hold that process because of lack of budget and specialist.

2010 Created master plan to build Korea polar data center Made draft of data management policy Developed metadata management system

2011 Confirmed and enforced the draft data management policy Redeveloped the metadata management system Introduced the mass storage system
