EASTER MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION

Welcome to the Season of Easter!

“With His love all things are possible – even new life where we never expected it.”

Our Lenten journey this year has invited us in profoundly explicit ways to consider some fundamental realities in our world. We continue to be challenged by the ongoing war and unrest in parts of our world to seriously consider what it means to be a “people of peace”. There are some of us that experienced the loss of loved ones and challenged to face our fears. These experiences and others are reminders of our need for physical, emotional and spiritual warmth. During Holy Week, as we move from the sadness of Good Friday to the joy and promise of Easter Sunday, let us be mindful of the courage and compassion with which Jesus faced the challenges in his life. All of us, in our commitment to Catholic education, are encouraged by word and example to inspire our students to overcome the fear and division we experience in our world. Together as a Catholic community, let us join ourselves to the Risen Christ to work for the healing and transformation of society according to the values of the gospel. May we continue to find strength in our faith that nothing can separate us from the love of God. With His love all things are possible – even new life where we never expected it. May this Easter season guide us all in the ways of peace and lead us more fully to the love of Jesus.

“Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here; he has risen.” Luke 24: 5-6

Wishing you, your family and friends a very peaceful and happy Easter!

Sincerely, Kevin Kobus Director of Education

THE GREEN PROJECTS PROGRAM Program Criteria: The Board approved a Green Allowance in the 2006 – 2008 School Renewal Program. The intention of the Green Allowance is to fund projects that are of benefit to the environment and that promote environmental stewardship within the school. Schools have an opportunity to apply for funding for a “green” project based on the following criteria: − The project must be a built project – that improves the building, the building systems (mechanical system for

example) or the school grounds − The project must have a positive impact on the environment − The minimum level of funding is $10,000 and the maximum level of funding is $50,000 − Each school may apply for funding for one project − The project funding must be committed (tendered) by August 31, 2008 and completed by December 31, 2008 − Schools must provide a three year maintenance plan demonstrating how the project will be maintained and

supported at the school and community level (if applicable) Application Deadline: Schools must complete and submit an application to the Board’s Environment Committee by March 19, 2008. Application forms are to be e-mailed to [email protected] or sent through the Board’s internal mail delivery system to The Environment Committee

c/o Vincent Citriniti, Program Coordinator, Science Department, Catholic Education Centre, 80 Sheppard Ave East – 2nd floor

Application form s can be downloaded from the TCDSB webpage under the Go Green Page at www.tcdsb.org/environment/greenfund

Timeline: The Environment Committee will review the applications and submit recommendations to Director’s Council. Schools will be notified by early/mid April 2008 with regards to funding approval. Funds are to be committed (tendered and awarded) by no later than August 31st, 2008 and the work is to be completed by December 31, 2008. Funding Information: Minimum project funding is $10,000 and the maximum funding for a project is $50,000. Qualifying projects must improve the existing physical plant, that is – the school building, the building systems or the school grounds. The funds can not be directed towards equipment. Both elementary and secondary schools may apply for funding, however schools may only apply for funding for one project. The Board’s Purchasing Policy must be followed with regards to buying materials and/or engaging contractors. The release of funds for payments of invoices will be administered by the Renewal Department. Project invoices will be reviewed by the school and submitted to the Renewal Department for payment. Project Implementation: Schools will be responsible for the planning, design, the scope of work, and the budget of the project. Schools are also responsible for obtaining a building permit (if required). Each school will be assigned a technical support staff person, from either the Operations or Renewal Department, to assist with the project design, implementation and construction phases. Schools may engage a facilitator (consultant) to assist with the design and preparing of project specifications. Facilitators’ fees should be included in the project budget. Non-profit environmental groups such as Trees Davenport and Evergreen, for example, may provide assistance to schools with the planning, design and maintenance of a “green” project. Role of Technical Support Staff: The Board’s technical support staff person assigned to the project will provide assistance and administer the project as follows: − Provide electronic and hard copies of base building and site drawings as required − Set up a project kick-off meeting with a facilitator where necessary

− Guide the project through the tendering process including preparing the tender package, issuing the tender and reviewing tender results with the school

− Prepare the tender report to Directors Council and issue the Purchase Order to the contractor and/or facilitator − Supervise the project during construction and liaise with the school in terms of reviewing progress and budget,

processing payments and change orders − Review and follow-up project maintenance program with the school Role of the School Project Team: The school’s project team will be responsible for the planning, design, scope of work, and budget for the project. Each school must provide a primary contact person who will be available throughout the construction process, including during the summer (if the construction work is to be undertaken during the summer). The primary contact person will be responsible for reviewing invoices, changes to the project cost, scope of work and/or schedule. A primary contact person will also be responsible for providing information regarding the maintenance of the project for a three year period. Role of project facilitator: Schools may engage a project facilitator (consultant) to assist with the design, preparation of project specifications, and project quality control. A list of pre-qualified facilitators has been provided below

Exterior Greening projects: It is anticipated that many schools will be interested in exterior greening projects that involve shade islands, tree planting and garden projects. As such, the Environment Committee will organize information session(s) to assist schools with the planning and maintenance of a “green” project. The date and location for the information session(s) will be posted on the Board’s web site and e-mailed to all schools that submitted application forms for exterior greening projects. EcoSchools: Schools are encouraged to become a certified EcoSchool (see http://www.tcdsb.org/environment) as a means of further committing to a program of environmental stewardship in the school. EARTH MONTH COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP EVENTS During Earth Month (April), there are two community environmental events that TCDSB school participation is encouraged.

• The City of Toronto's 20-Minute Toronto Makeover on Friday, April 18. (All grades) • The City Park Clean-up, April 14 – April 25, 2008. (Grades 1-6 only)

20-Minute Makeover (All grades) TCDSB has displayed a phenomenal participation rate and demonstrated our Board's commitment to our community and the environment. In response to Mayor David Miller’s formal invitation, the Board encourages all schools and administrative sites to participate in the 20-Minute Toronto Makeover. If your school would like to participate, please go to the following link to enrol http://intranet/vgk/recyclingSurvey.asp. A set amount of bags and latex gloves will be assigned to all schools that register prior to Friday, March 28, 2008. Any schools that register after this date will not receive bags or gloves due to a limited supply.

It is also suggested that students be divided into teams of recyclable material and garbage material. The materials collected can be deposited into the appropriate containers at the school. During the 20-minutes, students and teachers are asked to clean up litter in any public space - school grounds, streets, parks, etc. Again, the school must register by Friday, March 28, 2008 to be eligible for supplies. Participants should bring plastic grocery bags from home for litter collection - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! City Park Clean-up (Grades 1-6): If you would like to participate in the City clean up at a local park between April 15 to 24, please complete the attached Request Form and return it to Fiona Street of Toronto Parks Forestry and Recreation via e-mail [email protected] or fax -416-392-0044 by March 7, 2008. Fiona will put you in touch with your local Park Supervisor to make arrangements. Please indicate the exact name of the park you wish to clean, the number of students and teachers attending, and your preferred clean-up date and time. Individual classes will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis. The number of classes accommodated will be up to the discretion of each Park Supervisor.

Note that the deadline for registration is March 7, 2008. For park clean-up, Parks and/or Recreation staff will be on-site to provide a pre-clean-up presentation and to review safety rules. They will also remove bags of litter and recycling cleaned from parks and will keep sharps containers on hand. In addition, Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation is having a draw to plant a tree. There are four (4) large trees available. Schools interested in tree planting must register for the clean-up by March 7th. Up to four schools will be chosen, one per City district, in a random draw for the tree planting. Note that only those schools that are cleaning a local park are eligible to participate in the tree planting. For both events the following should be included: • Prayer services to be used during Earth Week • Schools must bring a first aid kit with them to their clean-up area, and students should be accompanied by a

staff person trained in First Aid treatment • Students participating in the 20-Minute Toronto Makeover should fill out a Media Release form, as the event

could be covered by local media Participation in events such as these allows students to live the Catholic Graduate Expectation: A Responsible Citizen, as they do their part to help create a clean and beautiful Toronto. This leadership project may be championed by a student leadership team (i.e. ESP, Smile), an environmental club, the chaplaincy team, a science or social science class or staff and students who are passionate about environmental issues (i.e. EcoTeam). We would ask that all schools include their custodial staff as major partners in this initiative.

The first Annual TCDSB Environmental Youth Forum was held on Tuesday, February 26. Approximately 70

students from 11 secondary schools attended to participate in environmental workshops. The goal of the forum was aimed at sharing knowledge and providing guidance to

assist students in implementing successful environmental programs at their schools. The students created fantastic action plans, and had some tremendous ideas. We expect this to become an annual event, and probably held in the

fall. So look for your invite in September.

Students going hungry for humanity By Kirsten Watters Toronto Observer, Filed February 25, 2008, from the HP Science and Technology Centre

Child soldiers are on the minds of over 70 Pope John Paul II C.S.S students, and they are giving up an entire weekend to prove it. Students will go without food for 24 hours in support of this year’s selected social justice issue. The event behind the cause is called Starve-a-Thon, hosted annually by the school’s Executive Leadership Council for well over a decade.

Leroy Gonsalves Prabhu, current vice-president of the ELC, stresses the importance of this year’s harrowing theme. "It’s estimated that 200- to 300,000 children are serving as soldiers for both rebel groups and government forces in current armed conflicts," Prabhu says.

Participants in the fundraiser are required to come with a minimum of $30 through pledges, says Prabhu of the event scheduled for Feb. 29 to March 1.

Students will be allowed beverages and will keep busy with an array of games including a scavenger hunt, karaoke, and even a dance. "We try and fill it with as many activities as we can so that it’s fun and not about feeling hungry, although the hunger is there to remind them of what their doing and how it feels in other parts of the world," Prabhu says.

Council president Alicia Fernandes says she is definitely feeling the pressure of being the one running the show, and is worried about potential problems. "I know that people try to sneak in liquor and other various types of drugs," Fernandes says. However, many teachers volunteer for the event to ensure things run smoothly. One such teacher is Rene Jansen. "We get a line-up of kids who want to give up their weekend, go out and do the work of finding sponsors, and not eat for 24 hours," Jansen says. "To think about that is so great and as a teacher that’s why I’ve never missed it." There have never been any major issues, Jansen says. This is because strict planning goes into the event with every hour accounted for, as well as certain guidelines that are set in place. "We make sure we’ve got the boys’ rooms and the girls’ rooms, and we have someone all night long in between the two," says Jansen, chuckling over this necessary arrangement.

At the very end students enjoy a pizza party along with a reflection session, and this year the council wants a guest speaker from the charitable organization War Child. "We show a power point presentation and we just discuss what’s going on around the world and how what we’re doing can really try to help," Prabhu says. But do the students take away anything besides a gut full of cheese and bad indigestion? "Every year they feel more connected to not only each other but the theme that we give them. It really hits home," Fernandes says. "What’s cool is you get those kids here and when you walk through the halls of your high school in your slippers at midnight it’s never the same," Jansen says. "And the good kids get to feel like this is their home, their place." Teens raise money for child soldiers March 6, 2008

Students at a Scarborough school raised at least $2,300 last weekend to rehabilitate other teenagers - sometimes younger than they are - who are forced to be soldiers in wars. The money was pledged for the annual Starveathon at Pope John Paul II Catholic Secondary School, during which some students go without food for 24 hours to support a cause. "Many of us are young and we have little brothers and sisters so the theme hits home," said Alicia Fernandes, president of the Pope John Paul's executive leadership council. The 12th grader chose child soldiers as this year's cause after seeing a film in her world issues class. "It was kind of heartbreaking and I just felt something had to be done," she said.

The Executive Leadership Council prepares for PJPII's upcoming Starve-a-Thon.

SUBJECT: 12-7 Titans trample Libermann By Tiffany Kallinikos Filed February 27, 2008, from the HP Science and Technology Centre

Mother Teresa Titans moved into the TDCAA senior basketball semi-finals with an easy 89-61 victory over Francis Libermann on Tuesday night.

Titans move on to meet Monsignor Johnson or Archbishop Marrocco on Feb. 21.

The Titans took charge of the game from the tip off‚ dominating the first half with precision passing and closed the first 16 minutes leading by 18. In the second half‚ they forced Libermann out of the paint, forcing them to shoot most of their shots from long range.

Still, star centre Maurice Walker thought they should have shut them down entirely and given up less rebounds. This is a confident group.

“Oh we’re going to be in the finals‚” said forward Romaine Lawrence‚ after dropping 18 points against Libermann. A slam-dunk by Francis Libermann's star centre, Shamus Ferguson.

Carr falls short at OFSAA Highly-ranked Etobicoke squad defeated in quarter-finals March 4, 2008 05:14 PM www.insidetoronto.com Etobicoke – The Guardian

Etobicoke high schools are well represented in provincial play downs in boys basketball and girls volleyball that come to a conclusion Wednesday night with championship games throughout the province. These Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association (OFSAA) championships are fought at four levels (AAAA, AAA, AA and A) and Etobicoke qualified two basketball and one volleyball team. BOYS BASKETBALL At the AAAA championships being hosted in Toronto, Father Henry Carr, ranked No. 3, was eliminated in the quarterfinals with a 66-43 loss to Toronto Catholic District School Board rival Blessed Mother Teresa of Scarborough, ranked No. 6.

Tramar Sutherland scored 15 points in a losing cause for Father Henry Carr while Romain Lawrence scored 24 for Teresa. Father Henry Carr had earlier won their third straight city final by defeating Mother Teresa 70-67 in overtime. Carr easily won its opening two games at OFSAA, 83-45 over 18th ranked Colonel By S.S. of Gloucester (led by Rodel Grenaway with 15 points and Tramar Sutherland with 13); and 59-43 over 14th-ranked Denis Morris (led by Tramar Sutherland with 28 points).

At the AAA championships in Paris, Ontario, Martingrove Collegiate, ranked No. 8, earned a spot in a Tuesday night quarterfinal (which went beyond our press deadlines) against top ranked Vaughan by winning its first two games: 65-50 over No. 9 ranked St. John's; and 85-54 over No. 14 ranked St. David.

GIRLS VOLLEYBAL At the AAAA championships being played in Scarborough, Michael Power-St. Joseph, ranked No. 13, lost its Tuesday opener 2-0 (25-15, 25-17) to No. 4 ranked Forest Heights of Kitchener.

Birchmount Park leads Scarborough OFSAA contingent with silver medal Mother Teresa, Sir Robert Borden fall short in bronze medal games Scarborough Mirror March 6, 2008 NORM NELSON (edited…) Scarborough had a great run at the winter high school provincial championships, played at various venues around the province this past week, in both boys basketball and girls volleyball, capped by a silver medal by the Birchmount Park girls volleyball team at the top AAAA level.

Also of note, however, were two basketball teams - Blessed Mother Teresa at the AAAA level and Sir Robert Borden at the AA level - that just missed out on a bronze medal.

The Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations holds championships at four levels (AAAA, AAA, AA and A) and amazingly enough, Scarborough had a high school represented in each of the Top 3 levels for both basketball and volleyball. BASKETBALL AAAA Blessed Mother Teresa also soared past its No. 6 ranking to make the AAAA bronze medal game, which was held in Toronto at York University in North York. Unfortunately they fell short, by one point, losing 49-48 to No. 4 ranked H.B. Beal of London. Mother Teresa suffered its first loss in the tournament earlier in the day, 62-46 to No. 2 ranked Eastern Commerce after winning its quarter-final 66-43 over its fellow Toronto Catholic District School Board rival and champion Father Henry Carr, ranked No. 3. Mother Teresa won its opening two games, 74-58 over Sacred Heart and 76-40 over St. Michael's College. AAA Also of note for Scarborough was Jean Vanier, which did make it to the playoff round in the AAA playdowns, being played in Paris and Brantford, losing its quarter-final match 54-39 to fellow Toronto school Central Commerce. Jean Vanier won its opening two games 66-48 over No.13 ranked Holy Cross and 66-55 over No. 4 ranked St. Patrick. OFSAA WRAP UP Just making it to the OFSAA playdowns can be an arduous journey itself. Also making it to their respective OFSAA playdowns, but not making it into the playoff round, were volleyball teams from Jean Vanier (at the AA playdowns in Sudbury) and Mary Ward (at the AAA playdowns in Chatham). Titans lose out on bronze medal at quad-A OFSAA championship March 6, 2008 SEAN DURACK , Scarborough Mirror, www.insidetoronto.com Scarborough's Blessed Mother Teresa Titans' boy's basketball team fell just short of winning the quad-A OFSAA bronze medal against London's H.B. Beal Raiders 48-49 before a lively crowd Wednesday evening at York University's Tait Mackenzie gymnasium. The Titans, up against a team that boasts two future NCAA Division One players - Arnold Mayorga and Adam Jesperson - showed some resolve in battling back several times throughout. The first quarter saw a lot of back-and-forth as both sides battled to set the tone, but by halftime the Titans found themselves back by six. The Raiders, seeded fourth at the provincial tournament that wrapped up Wednesday in Toronto, extended their lead to 11 in the third before the Titans, seeded sixth, pressed their opponents in the full court, cutting the lead back to six. The Titans managed to pull ahead on a big three pointer from Maurice Walker with 2:20 left on the clock, but it did little to faze the Raiders who promptly returned to tie it back up again before going to the line on a controversial Titans foul call with just a second remaining. "It was a foul, the ref got it right," admitted Titans head coach Richard Gallacher. "But at that point in the game I think 90 per cent of referees aren't going to call that one."

Gallacher, a former player with the local high school who helped the program to an OFSAA bronze in 1996, said many in Toronto basketball circles counted the Titans out this season, putting them in the running for next year. "A lot of people had written us off this year, a lot of people were saying that next year's our year, so this is good for us" said Gallacher, explaining that the senior program will lose just one player next year and will be back with a vengeance. Having seen more than their share of on-court success in the province in the last decade, Gallacher thinks his boys can't see the forest for the trees. "The success we've seen in the last six years can be put up against any program in the province. "We've been so successful that our kids don't realize the magnitude of what they've actually accomplished," he said. "Even with a fourth place, with how young this team is, that is pretty important." The team, which will remain mostly intact but will lose star player Romaine Lawrence next season, is looking to build upon the fourth place showing a year from now. "I think (the team's performance this year) bodes well in our preparation for next season," he said. "I'm really, really happy with what our kids did this year." The Titans were knocked out in the second round at OFSAA last year but nabbed a silver medal in 2006 and back-to-back gold medals at the double-A level in 2001/02. TOURNEY WRAP-UP Mother Teresa suffered its first loss in the tournament earlier in the day in the semifinal game, 62-46 to No. 2 ranked Eastern Commerce after winning its quarterfinal 66-43 over its fellow Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) rival (and champion) Father Henry Carr 66-43. Mother Teresa won its opening two games, 74-58 over Sacred Heart and 76-40 over St. Michael's College. Crusaders get knocked out of semifinals by Mother Theresa Etobicoke Guardian March 11, 2008 SEAN DURACK The wheels fell off the city champion Father Henry Carr Crusaders' campaign for a provincial basketball crown Tuesday afternoon in OFSAA quad-A quarter-final action against none other than Scarborough's Blessed Mother Theresa, their biggest rival. The province's sixth-seed Titans avenged the overtime loss they faced at the hands of number three Henry Carr in the city championship final a week ago, shutting down the Etobicoke-based Crusaders offence in the second half at St. Michael's College enroute to a convincing 66-43 victory. The win meant a spot in the provincial tournament's semifinal game Wednesday morning for the Titans. Crusaders coach Paul Melnik thinks he and his charges were a bit overconfident going into the quarterfinal match-up and weren't as mentally prepared as they should have been against the Titans. "I thought we took them for granted a bit," said Melnik, noting that Mother Theresa should have been seeded higher in the draw. "They haven't beaten us in three years. We beat them three times this season. We all thought that it'd be a tough game, but we've always been able to make it through against these guys... not this time." The Crusaders looked to be keeping pace with the Titans in the quarterfinal match-up, knotting the game with a three-pointer to close the first half. "We didn't need to make too many changes," explained Melnik about his halftime discussion with his troop. "We just needed to be a little more patient in running our offence. We really wanted to beat them off the dribble, but we wanted to do it late in the offence and we just couldn't get it done. "We just got too excited, too amped, and it didn't work in our favour." The quarterfinal take-down for the Titans stokes the rivalry fire between the two basketball powers - who are located at opposite ends of the city but face many of the same societal setbacks - and adds yet another chapter to their continuing basketball saga. The Titans' junior program also invested in the rivalry with Henry Carr, garnering the city title this year. "I think it just heats things up a little bit more because we were on a big roll, our junior team

was dominating them and, now all of a sudden they have wins over both levels," said Melnik, noting that it'll simply motivate the Crusaders coaches and players to ensure that this doesn't repeat itself next year. He said there are no sincere hard feelings though and he hopes that Mother Theresa goes on to win the provincial crown again. "It's a very friendly rivalry though, (we) are all friends. There is no tension between the two; one team loses, one team wins, we shake hands and that's it." Henry Carr has gotten the upperhand when it comes to city titles, Titans head coach Richard Gallacher light-heartedly admits, but Mother Theresa has earned more provincial championships in recent years, putting them a notch above their Etobicoke opponent in his view. And the win against Henry Carr, adds the Titans coach and former Titans player, was a nail in a coffin that has been a long time in coming. "They (Carr) have been doing better head-to-head, but M.T. has more OFSAA medals (three in a row)," one-upped Gallacher, noting that he and Melnik have fast become friends in spite of everything. "There's definitely a rivalry, but it's very friendly and with the right spirit about it. It's a very positive thing," said Gallacher in all seriousness.

Charity game creates friendly rivalry Inside the TPS Mar 12, 2008 - 09:40 AM

A Toronto Police basketball team managed to top their teenage rivals from a North York high school, during a charity basketball game that brought together officers and youth for a love-in on Valentine’s Day. Described as a “hard-fought win,” officers from the 32 Division Community Response Unit (CRU) pulled off a 67-59 victory over Senator O’Connor Catholic Secondary School’s Senior Boys’ basketball team. The CRU team’s win made up for their loss against the 16-to-18-year-olds in a similar game last year, while raising funds for a black-history-themed play at the school.

“A year ago, they beat our team of six guys,” said Constable Rodcliff Chung. “This year, we brought back our full team (of 14 players) and we beat them.” Although the CRU team has played similar games at other schools to help raise funds for guest speakers, events and school activities, Senator O’Connor has had been the only school to defeat the CRU team in its three-year history. “They had their bragging rights, so it kind of hyped the whole thing up on Valentine’s Day,” said Chung. Over 350 spectators watched the charity game, including grade-school students from Forest Manor Public School, where Chung helps run an in-school basketball league. In total, tickets sold for the event raised over $600. The event was so successful in building positive relationships between officers and students that Chung said the Senator O’Connor players are looking forward to seeing more of the CRU officers in the future. “They already want another rematch,” he said. School program reaches out to ethnic communities March 6, 2008 CYNTHIA REASON Etobicoke Guardian Toronto's two school boards are reaching out to students from the Portuguese and Hispanic Canadian communities with an announcement of additional support for the On Your Mark tutoring program. The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) will provide an additional $120,000 for the program, which was established in 2001 in partnership with Working Women's Community Centre and now serves more than 200 students on Saturday mornings and in after-school programs.

"The On Your Mark program will enhance current services by expanding services to the Hispanic Canadian community, by enrolling an additional 94 students currently on waiting lists, by offering the program at additional school sites, and by hiring an additional project co-ordinator to oversee the programs and actively recruit volunteers," Catherine LeBlanc-Miller, TCDSB trustee and chair, said of the increased funding.

Each board will provide $60,000 to support the program for a year - a commitment reflecting the positive impact that this program has had on student achievement.

"We are extremely pleased that both Toronto school boards continue to recognize the importance of partnerships to address the diverse needs of the young people in the City of Toronto," said Marcie Ponte, executive director of Working Women's Community Centre of Toronto, in a statement.

TDSB Trustee Maria Rodrigues said both boards will continue to work in partnership with the various multicultural agencies that support the needs of their communities. "It is crucial that services directly impacting student achievement continue to be provided," she said in a statement.

SUBJECT: 12-11 The elementary city basketball championships were held on Friday night at Ryerson University, and what exciting games they continue to be!

Congratulations to the girls champions, Nativity of Our Lord who, this year, finally beat St. Malachy 49 - 39. These two schools have met for the finals the past three years.

The boys' final was between St. Domenic Savio and St. Wilfrid. This game had a wild finish, as the lead changed many times in the last few minutes. Congratulations go to the St. Domenic Savio team who pulled off a 56 - 55 win in the dying seconds!

Our congratulations to all the athletes and their coaches who worked hard all season and provided the fans with exciting basketball in downtown Toronto on a snowy Friday night!

A special thank you to the South Athletic Region and master convenor John Albert for all their organization.

We look forward to more basketball highlights next year!
