Press release
4 youth cycling teams in Europe decided to create the ITD Team, a new cycling alliance. This new team will offer more international development opportunities for young cycling talents through international collaboration.
ITD stands for ‘International Talents Development’. The goal is to offer more possibilities for the young riders of the teams to race abroad and get new experiences.
The 4 founding teams are: • Papillon-Rudyco-Janatrans Cycling Team• Avia Wcup Cycling Team• Riwal - Climacell Junior• Centre de Formation Cycliste Condorcet VCA Saint-Quentin
In annex of this press release, you can read ore about these teams. The teams are sponsored by Specialized, who is supporting this innovative approach.
How does it work?
The clubs will select interesting races in their home country/region (interclub and/or individual races) to which other teams are invited. Focus is on races for riders in U17 and U19 categories, but can be extended to some selected opportunities for U12, U15 and U23 (if applicable). Then the clubs can propose riders to come and participate to the race, next to some riders of the home team .
