COURSE OBJECTIVES The main objective is to provide all engineers involved in using-defining-designing-maintaining and operating SIS - safety instrumented systems for the Process Industry the opportunity to learn what to do in able to comply to the Functional Safety Management requirements from the normative requirements (IEC61511:2016 part 1, chapter 5 – 5.2 requirements) A second objective is to understand the new edition 2.0 requirement that ‘every supplier providing products or services SHALL have a Functional Safety Management system’ according to the normative requirements (5.2.5.2 – IEC61511:2016 part 1)
