in Colorado.

DISSERTATION CONSULTING/MENTORING
Note: For many of these students, I filled the role of unofficial mentor and later served as
committee member or faculty representative on their committees, helping them formulate
their research questions, providing them outlines for their proposal chapters, offering proof-
reading and other suggestions, previewing and critiquing their proposal defenses, and giving
them support. In other cases, I was a consultant only, helping students with any questions
they might have. In most cases this was in addition to the role I played first as a senior
research consultant in the Research Consulting Lab at the University of Northern Colorado,
and later as a faculty member at UNC.
