BRAZARGENT 1545 Ternary alloy: 45 % silver bearing
Classifications :
EN ISO 3677: B Ag 45 Cu Zn 680-800
NF EN 1044: -----
Description & Applications :
Ternary alloy which main elements are: copper, zinc and silver at 44%. The addition of silver and zinc lowers the liquidus temperature.
This alloy is suitable to join most Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals with the notable exception of Aluminium and Magnesium. Its low fluidity makes it suitable in joint configurations where the fit up is poor. It has good fillet-forming capabilities.
Recommended for belt saw strip brazing. Being Cd free, can also be used in the food industry. Keeps good mechanical characteristics during hot work. Its structure also allows brazing in stages (reheating).
To be used with AG Flux or as flux coated rods.
- Bare rods in Ø 1,5 - 2 - 2,5 - 3 mm, while Flux coated rods (standard colour: White) Ø1,5 and 2 mm, standard length 500 mm. Also available in wire and performs.

BRAZARGENT 5018 Cadmium free: 18% Ag
Classifications :
EN ISO 3677: B Cu 47 Zn Ag Sn 720-790
NF EN 1044: -----
Description & Applications :
A Cd free alloy which main elements are: copper, zinc, silver at 18% and tin. This range has been developed to replace cadmium-bearing brazing alloys, where the use of Cd is forbidden. Tin (Sn) lowers the melting point, increases fluidity and exhibits good wetting properties. Also offer good corrosion resistance and is non-toxic enabling properties to be used in food and sanitary applications, medical fluid transport ...
This alloy needs a controlled quench to avoid the weakening of the brazed joint.
It is used when brazing most ferrous, cuprous and nickel alloys, stainless steels and steal tools. Its good brazing properties makes it suitable for all heating methods. Its low fluidity makes it suitable in joint configurations where the fit up is poor or in small fit-up areas. It has good fillet-forming capabilities Lap joints are recommended, however, butt joints can be used where conditions are less demanding.
To be used with AG-FLUX as flux coated rods, when brazing in open atmospheric conditions.
