FROM STUDENTS… FOR THE STUDENTS
Three learning levels:
1- Independent level
2- Instructional level
3- Frustration level
Benefits:1. The student is placed in the right level.
It’s not too hard and it’s not too easy2. It safeguards motivation and will to
continue3. The student knows it is possible to
learn and to improve his/her skills4. He or she is a happy student5. Ability to complete homework6. The student feels he/she is part of the
learning process and not something that is imposed on him/her
7. It guarantees success!
The ideal level for a student is the instructional level
4. Motivation towards success
The learning process is a road paved with
explorat ion, experiences and novelt y!
So, what are the advantages of enrolling
students in these programs?
For parents:•Parents understand that learning English is a process•Parents know that their children will arrive at the goals set•Parents can follow their children within this path by communicating with teachers and their own children
For teachers:•Teachers can develop a program that doesn’t overwhelm the students•Teachers can develop lessons centered on the students•Teachers have the time to develop the students’ skills without feeling the stress that usually comes with the exams•Teachers can provide enough time for students to practice their new knowledge through activities that are engaging and relevant to the students.
5. The importance of the assessment
( tests)
Both these students are taking tests: Who is the happiest?
WHY?
BENEFITS OF DOING EXAMSA. It helps students develop necessary skills useful for their life such
as: managing time, ability to organize study sessions, development of rational techniques
B. It helps the student learn the ability to manage stress, tension and confidence when facing an exam
C. It helps the student realize the importance of international exams
D. It sets structured goals for the studentE. It serves as official feedback for the student, teacher and parentF. It trains the student on how to understand the different parts of
the exam and how to react to each section of that examG. Upon the successful completion of the exam, the student realizes
that the task is possible, giving him/her the confidence that the goals are real and doable
H. It also provides motivation to continue: Any student who is able to overcome the exam is bound to believe that he/she can take the next step.
The student becomes part of an internat ional community
The community comes to the student through the assessment
