Fort Riley's Department of Public Health will conduct a Drive-Thru Flu Clinic 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4 in the Riley's Conference Center parking lot. The event is open to TRICARE beneficiaries as well as Department of Defense card holders. 6th annual Turkey Trot and Gobble Jog . November 16, 2013 "Get into the Spirit of the Springs," at the 6th annual Rock Springs Turkey Trot and Gobble Jog on Saturday, Nov. 16. Pre-registration for the races is encouraged at active.com or by calling for a brochure at 785-257-3221. Pre-registration cost for the Turkey Trot is $20, or $25 on race day. For the Gobble Jog, pre-registered children pay $10, or $15 the day of the race. Packets, including T-shirts, can be picked up at 9 a.m. on race day. The 5K run begins at 10 a.m. while the 1/4 mile kids' Gobble Jog gets started at 10:45 a.m. Prizes will be announced and refreshments served at 11 a.m. For more information, to donate prizes or to volunteer on race day, contact Susan Mueller at [email protected] . What is AFTB? . AFTB is designed to inform our Soldiers and Families of the benefits offered, both personally and as leaders. Army Family Team Building will teach you that the more informed you are about the military and its environment, the better their chances are for a successful career; and the better prepared your Families are to handle the challenges of military living, the more Soldiers can concentrate on the mission. Daylight Saving Time (or summertime as it is
called in many countries) is a way of getting
more light out of the day by advancing clocks
by one hour during the summer. During
Daylight Saving Time, the sun appears to rise
one hour later in the morning, when people
are usually asleep anyway, and sets one hour
later in the evening, seeming to stretch the
day longer.
