If you arrive from Limoges Airport (10km from City Centre), know that there is no shuttle
to the city centre. Taxi companies however can get you from the airport to the City Centre
for approximately 20€. (Limoges Taxi: +33 555 38 38 38)
The coach station is located next to the train station; therefore see the information and
bus fare concerning the trip from Gare Bénédictins.

Once there, follow the road on your left
and you will arrive at the Faculty.
The 'Bureau d’Accueil International' is
a central University service that helps
every Exchange Student arrive and
settle in Limoges. They can help you
with:
- Finding accommodation and
housing.
- Opening a bank account.
- Getting health and housing
insurance.
- Undertaking administrative
formalities.
-Exploring Limoges and its
surroundings.
We can help you with:
- Choosing courses and enrolling in
classes.
- Student Card services.
- Administrative paperwork (Learning
Agreement, Certificate of Attendance,
etc).
Internet subscription for the year (in
halls) only costs 8€. Internet can be
accessed using an Ethernet cable*
While you have access to a kitchen,
kitchenware and pans are not
provided. Microwaves are provided in
communal kitchens (not studios).
In order to retrieve your keys, a proof
of housing insurance is mandatory.
Tips
HALLS OF RESIDENCEHousing
EXCHANGE LIMOGES
Halls offer :
- Bedrooms (rent includes utilities such as
electricity, water and heating). Only the
kitchen is a communal area and is equipped
with a microwave, an oven and hot plates.
- Studios (utilities not included) offer more
space, a private shower and bathroom and a
kitchenette.
A security deposit (one month rent) will be
asked upon entry and given back upon
leaving.
Certain residences also give access to many
services and facilities such as: a self-service
laundromat, a TV room, snack machines.
The main halls are:
- Vanteaux: rooms and studios on campus
of Arts and Humanities. Within a minute
walk from the Faculty, library and restaurant;
and five minute walk to the VANTEAUX bus
stop.
- La Borie: rooms located on the Science
campus; approximately 15-20 minutes away
from campus by bus 14 (stop FACULTÉ).
*only applies to Halls of Residence as of Aug 2016.
Internet is free within all buildings of the Faculty and
University.
The Bureau d’Accueil International is a
central University service. It is here to
help you find accommodation:
1) All Exchange students attending
Limoges University can apply for a pre-
booked en-suite bedroom or studio.
2) In order to apply for student housing,
you must fill in the form.
3) This reservation will be confirmed
once the deposit (360€ for studios, 240€
for bedrooms) has been paid. Pay
attention to the deadline!
As an International Student
attending the University of Limoges,
you can take up to 7 French classes
(as FLE) for free, provided by the
University itself, but independent
from the FLSH.

FOOD AND SERVICES
COOP CAFET'
Cafeteria created and run by
students for students of the
Faculty. It provides fair-trade
products such as coffee, tea and
fresh organic vegetables grown on
campus.

UNIVERSITY RESTAURANT
A new facility to host the University
Restaurant should open during the
year 2017/2018. As of August 2016, a
student menu costs 3.25€.
ON CAMPUS LIBRARY
Open weekdays from 8h00 to 19h30.
The student library is open to all
students, You are free to consult and
borrow books, journals, newspapers,
and films as long as you can show
proof of enrolment (student ID).
The library also has many computers
connected to the internet (free access
for students).
Other libraries are located within the
Faculty and are specialised in specific
areas such as Languages, Sociology,
French Literature, Geography, etc.
Located within the Faculty, this
cafeteria provides student with
sandwiches, salads, wraps, paninis,
pizza and many other snacks.
Student menus range from 2.90€ to
3.90€.
MUTLI-SERVICE CARD
Your student card (ID) can be used for
many purposes: it is proof of
enrolment, gives access to printing
services, libraries, and is a means of
payments in the cafeterias and
University restaurants, etc.
