Bible Teaching on the Signs of the End-time

Matthew 24:6-8 - You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against

nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Matthew 24:10-14 - At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most

will grow cold, but he who

stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

= Act of Indifference

John 19:23-24 - When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them ….. “Let’s not tear it,” they said to one another. “Let’s decide by lot who will get it.”

Ephesians 1:17 - I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

How Can We Build the Family of God in this

world?

1. 1. Feel the Family Plan of God

Vs. 26 - When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Dear woman, here is your son,”

= What is the Nature of Jesus’ Care of His Mother, Mary?

(1) It is by Love - Relationship

John 19:26 - When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Dear woman, here is your son,”

(2) It is by Close- Relationship Mk 5:37 - He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.

Mk 9:2 - After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them.

Mk 14:33 - He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled.

John 1:12-13 - Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

A Case Study of Jesus’ Teaching on the Family of

God

Mt. 12:48-50 - He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Luke 11:27-28 - As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

= What Would You Say to Jesus when He will Designate You to Someone?

Ephesians 1:5 - God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what (1) he wanted to do, and (2) it gave him great pleasure.

(1) Reform in the Physical Family

Mk 10:28-30 - Peter said to him, “We have left everything to follow you!” “I tell you the truth,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children

or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.

(2) Reform in the Social Family 1Timothy 6:2 - Those who

have believing masters are not to show less respect for them because they are brothers. Instead, they are to serve them even better, because those who benefit from their service are believers, and dear to them.

(3) Reform in the Spiritual Family

1Corinthians 4:17 - For this reason I am sending to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church

1Peter 5:13 - She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you her greetings, and so does my son Mark.
