Pastoral Message from Fr. George for June 5, 2020

This Sunday is Pentecost & Thanksgiving Sunday for June!

1 – 2 – 3… Get set, let’s go!

That’s right, I invite parishioners to respond to 3 opportunities right now. The

first 2 must be done no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Don’t delay, they are quick and easy.

1. Submit names of your deceased family and friends for me to read during our

Saturday of the Souls Memorial Service on June 6th using this link. Whether

you are attending the service in person or viewing livestreaming, I can

only read names you submit online (and not in person). It is quick and

easy.

2. Submit your June commemorations for Birthdays, Name Days, and Wedding

Anniversaries using this link for Thanksgiving Sunday on June 7th. Whether you

are attending in person or viewing livestreaming, parishioners must

submit special event(s) online. You can make your donation(s) using this

link.

3. Pre-register to join us for church services in person for either Saturday, June 6th

or Sunday, June 7th using this link. Last Sunday we re-opened our church

for a limited number of persons and there is plenty of space still

available. Remember, this Sunday is Pentecost Sunday and the day

before is the last Saturday of the Souls for this year when we will pray for

our deceased. Click here to Read and Agree to "Returning to Worship:

Important Information".

Church Re-Opening Guidelines

During the first phase of the re-opening of St. Christopher Church, a limited number of households will be permitted at each worship service by following two simple steps.

Extra services will be offered to accommodate our St. Christopher Parish Family if your first choice is not available.

Step 1: Click here to Read and Agree to "Returning to Worship: Important Information"

Step 2: Click here to "Pre-Register for Services"

*Please note that unless you pre-register, you will not be permitted to enter into the Church. We cannot accommodate walk-ins at this time.

To all the Faithfull and generous stewards of the St. Christopher HOC

Philoptochos members.

Throughout the years of our Parish History, we have always come to you and

ask you to do what you have done for many, many years. That is to offer a

helping hand in one way or another to your brothers and sisters in need.

You have always responded with selfless generosity. You have always been in

difficult times the beacon of helpfulness and kindness, of love and faith.

We would like to thank you for all you have done and for all you will do-

whenever and wherever need exists.

If you did not have the opportunity to sign up with our Philoptochos Chapter and

become a member there is still time to do so. We need you all to be part of our

Loving Philoptochos Society.

Please contact Dedee Panayis 817 690 6610, or email [email protected] or

even register online at www.saintchristopherhoc.org under the online giving

portal and select Philoptochos. Under memo please note membership.

Become a member of St. Christopher H.O.C Philoptochos Society today.

1As a prisoner of the Lord, I beg you to live in a way that is worthy of the people God has chosen to be his own. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Patiently put up with each other and love each other. 3Try your best to let

God's Spirit keep your hearts united. Do this by living at peace. 4All of you are part of the same body. ~Ephesians 4:1-4

Happy Summer!

While we are dealing with so much turmoil in our world, I would like to highlight

just a few of the positive works of our Philoptochos Chapter. Recently, we were

We received several thank you notes but I would like to share one with you:

Hello, I hope this email shows the gratitude and thankfulness that I have in my heart right now knowing that my rent is covered and covered by people whom I never met. I am so thankful for your kindness and willingness to help a complete stranger. I know God is definitely in the blessing business and I’m glad my name was on that blessing.

The ladies hope that our Mother’s Day token was received. We really enjoy

sharing in this special day in person, but hope this reminds you that we are

thinking of you! Mary Ramsier Kirk we appreciate the special thank!

Best wishes for peace and health!
