A The University should comply with the following recommendations of the ExpertCorrunt te within three mo ths from the date of receipt of this letter:

•• The University should strictly follow the norms of the DEC and other Statutory Apexbodies on territorial jurisdiction, opening of Study centres and non-franchising ofStudy cerures 10•. uffering piCg:-<:lmmes t .rough distance mode. 8. The University should adhere to the follow'ng:

1. The University shall offer only above mentioned programmes though distance mode,which are approved by he Distance Education Council.

2. It is the responsibility of the University/Institution to follow the norms prescribed by theconcerned regulatory body/ies such as UGC/AICTE/NCTEIany other, and also seekits/then' prior approval, wherever required. for any specific programme mentioned above.

3 The eligibility conditions will be as per U~C/AICTElDEC norms and professional andtechnical programmes as per norms laid down by the AICTE. No admission to M8A.PGOM, & MCA programmes can be done without ensuring that the student has secureda valid score in the entrance tesUexamination for the purpose.

4 The minimum duration of a programme should be similar to the minirnurn duration ofSimilar programme offered through the regular mode.

5. The University should have at least one full time faculty member exclusively forcoordin ting each programme at the headquarters.

G. Nomenclature of all programmes offered through distance mode should be as perUGC/AICTE.

'1. The University shall limit admission to maximum 60 seats per programme per studycentre for Management, Computer & IT, & Allied he Ith sciences programmes, if any.For Ie boratory/practical work, tho:; university C8:1 have a maximum of 30 students in a

batch subject to maximum 60 stu ents per study centre. The study centre shall beoper ated y the university itself.

8. The terntorial jurisdiction for offering programmes through distance mode will be as pethe decision of the DEC taken in its 40th Council meeting. As per decision t ken in 40th

meeti 9 of the D' tance Education Council, the territori I jurisdiction of State Universities(both govt funded & private) will be as per their Acta and Slaiutes out not beyond theu undanes of their respective states. Thus, the territorial jurisdiction of your universitybeing a Sr te University will be as per the Act and St tutes but not beyond theboundaries of the State of Haryan .

9. The s udy centres are academic faci itators for programme delivery. The Universityshould not franchise the Study centres. The Stuay Centres should be operated by theUniversity Itself.

10. The Institution's management of the distance education programmes will be open forreview and inspection by the DEC. The academic norms of the programmes shall beunder monitoring and regulation by the concerned requlatory authorities.

It may' be noted that before launching the programme/s, the Institution shou d submit anaffidavn ithin 30 days from date of issue of this letter that it agrees to and wilt abide by allterms nd conditions contained in the recognition letter. In case, the DEC does not receivethe ffid vit ithin 30 days from the date of issue of this Jetter, the approval accorded to yourInstitution will be considered as withdrawn. Further, if it is found that the Universny isvio ating any norms, he recognition accorded to your university will be withdrawn withoutany notice
