CONNECTING DEVICES TO SECONDARY CIRCUIT (CONSTANT CURRENT)

The 4 outputs of the secondary circuit work at constant current (350/500/700 mA); as a consequence, LED lighting devices can be connected that also work at constant current. Multiple devices can be connected to the same output by connecting the devices in series.

Only power up the system after all the devices and appliances have been connected!Do not connect the input (+Vin; -Vin) with an active power supply unit!

To calculate the maximum number of devices that can be connected to a single output, check the operating voltage of each individual device (Vfapp), take into consideration the number of devices and total up the voltages Vftot. Vftot = Vfapp1 + Vfapp2 + ...It holds that: VFtot < Vinwhere Vin is the power supply voltage of the ARCUNID2.

For example, if a device is used with a power LED with Vfapp= 3.4Vdc, we shall have:

OPERATING SETTINGS USING ROTARY SWITCHES

The rotary switches can be used to manage the controller in stand-alone mode; after the desired functions have been selected, power up the system to perform the chosen light show. The settings may also be altered when the system is active. The available functions are given below:

With the selector switches between 700 and 720, two NA push buttons can be used to control pre-set light shows:

- a short press on button 1 switches the device on if it is off;- a short press on button 1 plays the light shows one after the other, if the device is on;- a long press on button 1 switches the device off;- a long press on button 2 dims the lighting.

RDMPROG01: DMX RDM programmer

This is a USB-DMX/RDM interface compatible with the E1.20 RDM and DMX USITT 1990 standards. It is powered directly from the USB port on the PC and is not affected by problems with different electrical potentials between the DMX line and the PC, even if it is disconnected and reconnected while in use: the built-in software immediately restores all the functions. RDMPROG01 allows bi-directional communication with RDM equipment over the DMX cable. The programmer has control software that uses the RDM protocol to recognise the lighting fixtures connected to the DMX; it is also possible to assign a DMX address in RDM mode by keying it into the corresponding program window.
