Our theme for this year’s Con-Jikan deals with the creative interplay between thieves and police. These featured anime have themes ranging from traditional cat-and-mouse games to the muddier waters of ethics in law enforcement. Whether you empathize with the bad guy or the good guy, the fascinating world of criminal justice is the focal point in these screenings.
Take your Saturday and indulge in some of the best anime films released in recent years. Talented directors and memorable characters are on full display in our Saturday Film Series, which is sure to please all appreciators of quality cinema.
Con-Jikan aside, crowdfunding has changed the way creative projects are made--“The Kickstarters” are majorly projects that have all seen funding or localization as a direct result of fan input. Sword of the Stranger stands in for Under the Dog, which recently raised over $800,000 on Kickstarter.
