Leviticus 23:23-25

Rosh HaShana

Rosh HaShana Begins Thursday. RoshHashana, also known as the Feast of Trumpets or the Jewish New Year, begins

at sundown on Thursday, September29th. The Biblical holiday is perhapsmost well-known for the sounding of theshofar horn, which is done at holidayservices around the world. The day is atime of repentance and begins the Daysof Awe that culminate with Yom Kippur,or the Day of Atonement. In Israel, it is anational holiday.

Passover —Salvation, deliverance fromEgypt (flesh, sin)Feasts of Unleavened Bread & FirstFruits —instruct us as to the purpose of salvation —FRUITFULLNESS & HOLINESS —God saves us so that we can be SETAPARTFeast of Petecost (first fruits) —Instructsus as to the TYPE of fruit we must bear —SPIRITUL FRUIT

Feast of Trumpets —The beginning of theJewish New Year (Biblical not Fiscal) andsymbolizes many things.

Commemorates the creation of theWorld —specifically of Man on the 6 th day

Recognition of God as the King of theUniverse!

A Call To Repentance! A time when Godmay decide whether their (the Jewishpeople) are inscribed in the book of Life.

Symbolizes the end of the evil age and the promiseof the coming Messiah! The Jewish children aretaught to listen for the sound of the Shofar becauseit will be blown at the coming of Messiah! (toChristians —the Return of Christ!)

Is believed to be the true birthday of Jesus(according to the zodiac and by scripture calculatingthe time of Mary‟s gestation in relation to the time of Elizabeth‟s gestation in Feast mentioned)

Feast of Tabernacles —Tells of how God will one daydwell with men!

Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) —Christ fulfilled whenHe presented Himself as the perfect lamb following Hisresurrection!

Conclusion

We, as Christians, can celebratethe Feasts of Israel andunderstand their true meaningand promises!

The Feast of Trumpets points usto the coming of our Lord JesusChrist and His rule forever!!!
