LOLA proposes a didactic processfor approaching sustainability byinvestigating social innovation. Thispackage of cards allows tofacilitate the organisation andpresentation of this process.
It is made of 5 preparation cardsdescribing what should be done toprepare each didactic session,
and 5 steps of 5 session cards thatpresent alternative ways oforganising each session of the
investigation with the pupils.
After being defined by the teacher,the process is presented to thepupils and the cards may remain onthe wall as a reference guide to the
class

Print the Step-by-step cards andone Reporter book.
Read the cards carefully, play alittle bit with them then build thebest combination to suit yourdidactic purposes and your
teaching environment

Browse the Reporter book, selectthe steps corresponding to theprocess you have chosen. See if youdivide the class into groups, andcopy one set per group or pupil.
Ask the students or groups to bringcardboard and clothes pins to buildthe Reporter books. Explain thepurpose of each section.
then use the Step by Step cardsyou have selected to present theinvestigation process to yourpupils. Pin them on the wall to havea reference for the class.

Discuss which ones are the bestinitiatives according to theselection criteria: new lifestyle/ecological/ social benefit /permanence
...Then the best cases found can bepublished in the class Internet blog(if possible) or displayed in the
classroom.

Review the questions of theinterview guide. Choose onereporter to take notes per group.
Prepare material to document thecases: a camera to take pictures; adrawing book and colours; an audiorecorder; a bag to collectevidence
Explain and review what's else toask for: a scheme showing who'sdoing what? A map showing wherethings happen? etc
Review with the students thepossible pictures to be taken andhow. You can use the Reporterbook check list.

Help them write the FinalDescription from their interviewnotes. They can use the templateon the Reporter book beforeposting it on the blog
Explain how to make the story-boards from their interview withimages and captions as proposed inthe Reporter book
Make sure all initiatives aredocumented on the class blog(Final Descriptions and Story-Boards) and organize the class
exhibition.
