UEL! Have you ever been filling the fuel tank of your car and

omplained about how much its costing now to actually fill

e tank? Well, when it comes to operating aircraft in the third

orld, FUEL is one of the biggest costs involved. That is why

e are so excited for the Cessna SMA 182. The SMA 182 has

ad the traditional AV-GAS engine removed and a new SMA

esel engine installed in its place. This allows the aircraft to

perate on cheaper and more readily available jet fuel. This

ows us to operate this aircraft at a substantially lower cost!

ith it we can transport a group of 2 or 3 pastors/

issionaries for far less than taking the Cessna 208 Caravan at

    nly 1/3 full.

ne of the first things that Rob will be responsible for upon

ur arrival in Madagascar is to unload and reassemble this

ew Aircraft. Right now it is at MAF-US headquarters in

ampa Idaho where it is getting some needed repairs and up-

ades before it is disassembled and loaded into a shipping

ontainer. From Nampa it will be shipped to Madagascar and

ucked to Antananarivo where Rob will be waiting to start

assembling it and getting it certified for service. We are allally excited to be a part of this project and for the service

at this new aircraft will bring to the people of Madagascar.

Putting the Pieces TogetherHave you ever studied a giant pile of puzzle pieces an

without knowing what the picture is supposed to be,

tried to work out what all of the pieces will look like

assembled? We compare learning French to this kind

scenario. Its as though we have 30 pieces to an enor

mous 1000 piece puzzle and were trying to see what

final picture will be. God is teaching us a lot. And we

convinced that our time spent in Quebec City is not l

ited to learning French. He is teaching us humility, coage, patience, and dependence on Him. It shouldnt s

    prise us that in

    every situation God

    wants us to depend

    on Him more and

    more and to give

    Him glory. It is only

    when we are walk-

    ing in obedience we

    begin to experience

joy and peace andwe might even begin to understand part of His divine

    plan!

Good-Bye House! We are excited to announce that our hou

has sold! This is a HUGE answer to prayer and a financial re

for us. Thank you SO much for everyone who has kept this i

your prayers. August and September have been busy month

Language class has been a large part of our routine, but we

also had the privilege of seeing beautiful parts of the count

and spending time together as a family. As well, in SeptembRobs mom flew out with another close friend. It was a love

    visit.

Besides the normal busyness of life with 4 young children, K

dergarten is in full swing at our house. We fit it in wherever

can. Faith is a very keen learner, and we usually find her wr

people to help us prepare to leave. He has

been our faithful Father providing to us

strength for each part of this journey,

none too soon either--just as we need day

by day. We praise Him for His provision.

And we are promised in His Word to us

that He is the same yesterday today and

forever! As we delight to walk in His will, we are also convinced that He will t

us and mould us and use us for His glory.

We are so thankful for each one of you and the vital part you share in this m

try. Without all of you being with us on this journey, we would not be here to

The support continues to rise to our ministrys minimum goal of $6000 per

month. As we continue to move forward, we are trusting the remaining amo

will be pledged, and that through the course of our term with MAF He would

ply the necessary funds to continue this important ministry.

et, I am realizing what is happening is

s much as we can become distracted

y the journey and lose sight of theestination sometimes, perhaps it is

mportant to reflect on our path and

member to thank God for what He

as already done, and what He is doing!

2008, shortly after the birth of our first son

e sensed a change was coming. Having no

ea what that change was, we began search-

    g. When God laid it on our hearts in the be-

nning of 2009 to see about serving with MAF,

e passion for this ministry began to blossom.

either of us ever saw ourselves serving over-as. In fact, it seemed to be the farthest thing

om our minds! Why would we ever want to

ave life-long friendships, a wonderful church

mily, and our own extended family? Not to

ention the life that we had begun to build

gether in our first couple of years married.

ometimes God's plans are very different from

ur own. Now almost 3 years later, we are

ven more convinced that this is what God

ould have our family do. We have seen Him

ovide a huge number of team members foris ministry. We have seen Him bring together
