Follow these instructions to identiy your modem status.
a. Power LEDTo ensure the Power LED light is ON. I the LED light or power is OFF i even when the
switch is set to ON, please reer to guide below: Thevoltage/powerratingofyouradaptermustbecompatiblewiththemodemto
ensure it works properly. Make sure that thesuppliedmodempoweradaptor is connectedproperly to the
modem and plugged into an appropriate power socket. SwitchONthemodemandpowersocket. TurnthemodemOFFandON. IfthepowerlightisstillOFF,youmaywanttotrytoconnectittousinganyother
modem.
Note: Test the connection using other modems (i ANY).

7. Suspected faulty modem
The LED lights are useul aides or fnding possible root cause o the problem.Three main LED labels on the modem are used to identiy a aulty modem.

b. LAN/PC/Ethernet (ETH) LEDToensuretheLANorETHlightisON.IfthelightisOFF,pleaserefertobelowguides: SwitchOFFthemodem.
EnsuretheLANorRJ45cableispluggedinproperlyfromyourmodemtothecomputeror laptop.
Ensurethenetworkcardiscurrentlyenabled. SwitchONthemodem. IftheLANorETHlightisON,asmallPCiconwillshowasConnected in your system
tray(WindowsVista/XP). IftheLANorETHlightisstillOFF,youmaywanttotrytoconnectitusinganotherLAN
orRJ45cables.
Note: Test the connection using other modems (i ANY).

c. ADSL/DSL LED
I your modems connection light is on but blinking, this means that your modem is out osyncwiththeStreamyxservice.Somethingispreventingaconnectiontoyourmodem,andthe problem is possibly on your end. You may check the ollowing issues:
DSLLineFilters(Splitter)-YourDSLmodemmorethanlikelycamewithaphoneline
adapter called splitters. Without these splitters in place, it is possible that the modemisunabletosyncwithStreamyxserviceduetothenoisewithintheline.Thiswillbemore apparent i your residence has a ew telephone jacks available. Please be surethat every phone jack which is being used has a splitter.
Itisalsopossiblethatyourcurrentsplitterisnotlteringanymore.TryremovingthesplitterandconnectyourphonelinedirectlytotheDSLmodem.Ifyouhavespares,tryreplacing the current splitter with a new one. There is a good chance that you will beabletosyncupwithStreamyxserviceafterwards.
TelephoneWallSocket(Forhousewithmanytelephonewallsockets)-Itispossible
thatthephonewallsocketthattheDSLmodemispluggedintoistoofarawayfromterminationpointortelephonebox.Theterminationpoint/telephoneboxislocatedoutsideyourhouse.TrytoconnectyourDSLmodemintoanotherphonewallsocketthat is closer to your termination point. I you are not sure which one it is, try them all.IfyouremoveaDSLsplitterduringthisprocess,donotforgettoreplaceit.IfyouareabletosyncupwithStreamyxserviceatanothertelephonewallsocket,itispossiblethatyouhaveaninternalwiringissueoraDSLsplitterproblem.
OutstandingStreamyx/TelephoneBillMakesureyourtelephonelineisfunctioningand not suspended.
ModemIt ispossiblethat yourmodemisnot functioningproperly.Turnoffandunplug the modem rom its power outlet, and turn on back the modem.
DisconnectallotherdevicessharingtheADSLline.Devicessuchasafax,alarmorcordlessphoneusingsamephonelineastheADSLmayattimescauseinterferencetotheADSLsignal.
Please make sure the telephone cable is plugged frmly into the modem and wall jack.
Mostofthetime,thesesimplexesshouldgetyoubacktotheInternetandsaveyoualot
oftime.Ifthelightisstillblinking,itmaybeduetoanetworkproblem.CallTMCustomerContactCentre(100)andselectInternetServicesforassistance.
