An Epistle from Paul: We Walk by Faith! – We sang a song yesterday that had the phrase: we walk by faith and not by sight . All of which reminded me about an article I read years ago. It is from this article I got the idea to write the following. There are two types of people in the world today: those who walk by faith and those who walk by sight. Which are you? Take the following “test” to determine if you don’t know: 1. Do I look for reasons why something can’t be done instead of searching for ways in which it can be done? 2. Do I make decisions out of fear? 3. Do I tend to resist new ideas and prefer to do things the way I have always done them? 4. Do I move ahead only when I have every single fact? 5. Do I have a tendency to demand a guarantee of success before I begin a large project? 6. Do I imagine the opposition I will encounter without imagining the support I might expect? 7. Do I ever close my mind to a suggestion before hearing the full explanation? 8. Do I focus on the drawbacks to a new idea before considering the advantages? 9. Do I believe human nature can’t be altered; that a man’s life cannot be changed for the good? 2 Corinthians 5:6-7 says, “Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord – for we walk by faith, not by sight.” In His Marvelous Love, Paul The Church of Christ 725 US 35 West P.O. An Epistle from Paul:

We Walk by Faith! – We sang a song yesterday that had the phrase: we walk by faith and not by sight. All of which reminded me about an article I read years ago. It is from this article I got the idea to write the following.

There are two types of people in the world today: those who walk by faith and those who walk by sight. Which are you? Take the following “test” to determine if you don’t know:1. Do I look for reasons why something can’t be done instead of

searching for ways in which it can be done?2. Do I make decisions out of fear?3. Do I tend to resist new ideas and prefer to do things the way I

have always done them?4. Do I move ahead only when I have every single fact?5. Do I have a tendency to demand a guarantee of success before I

begin a large project?6. Do I imagine the opposition I will encounter without imagining

the support I might expect?7. Do I ever close my mind to a suggestion before hearing the full

explanation?8. Do I focus on the drawbacks to a new idea before considering

the advantages?9. Do I believe human nature can’t be altered; that a man’s life

cannot be changed for the good?2 Corinthians 5:6-7 says, “Therefore, being always of good

courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord – for we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Having just finished VBS, we thought this would be a great time and venue to carry the enthusiasm from the Friday night carnival of VBS right on to the youth groups meeting this coming Fall. Again, you can be a BIG
