1.1 Modes of user interfaces

The radio can be accessed through:

Serial

Ethernet

Modem

By means of the following modes:

Local connection to the equipment via PC can be through serial or network port.

The connection requirements for the serial line are:

1.2.1.1 Hyper Terminal configuration

On the local PC prepare the Hyper terminal configuration in the following way

1. Start > Programs > Accessories > Communications > Hyper Terminal

1.2.2 Ethernet connection - Web interface

1.2.2.1 Recover IP address and maskFrom the CLI connection 1.2.1.1) retrieve the IP address directly from the first page(see Fig. 7). To retrieve the Netmask setting in order to set the Lap top, It's necessaryto navigate in the CLI Hyper Terminal following the below steps.

1. From the first page of the CLI connection type with the keyboard the letter "M" forMain Menu.

1.2.2.2 PC setting

To set up the Ethernet connection, access the TCP/IP properties from the control

panel network connection menu adding an IP address coherent with the retrieved viaserial connection (see Fig. 12). Follow the steps reported in Fig. 13
