    There is no prerequisite for this training however it ishighly recommended to have a broad knowledge inthe workplace health and safety. An International or aNational General Certificate is suggested.

     Who should attend this course?The NEBOSH International Diploma is designed toprovide students with the expertise – wherever in theworld they may be working – required to undertake acareer as a safety and health practitioner.It also provides a sound basis for progression to an MScor more specialist study (such as the NEBOSH SpecialistDiploma in Environmental Management).

     Assessment

    This qualification is assessed through the three 3 hourexams for Units A, B & C and a workplace-based

    assessment for Unit D which are set by NEBOSH.

    Is this qualification recognised?

    On successful completion of the qualification, the Diplomaholder may apply for Graduate membership (GradIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety andHealth (IOSH), ( www.iosh.co.uk). This qualification is alsoaccepted by the International Institute of Risk and SafetyManagement (www.iirsm.org) as meeting their requirementsfor full membership (MIIRSM). United Kingdom professionalhealth and safety bodies have a growing internationalreputation with a number of international branches beingformed.

    Holders of this qualification may use the designatoryletters IDipNEBOSH after their name.

    NEBOSHInternational Technical Certificate in Oil andGas Operational Safety

     About the courseThis qualification is specifically designed for people with safety responsibility in the oil and gas industry. The qualificationfocuses on international standards and management systems, enabling students to effectively discharge workplace safetyresponsibilities both onshore and of fshore. The Certificate also highlights the importance of process safety managementin the oil and gas industry.

    There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, however it is highly recommended that students have anexisting underpinning knowledge of safety issues or have completed a NEBOSH Certificate level qualification previously.

    It covers risk assessments and ways to

    Course duration and how is the courseassessed?

    3 days plus a 45 minutes multiple choice examinationand a two hour practical risk assessment which tests the

    Confined Space Entry And Rescue
