Requirements to study Master of engineering of Technical Management

A Bachelor degree in Engineering, or an equivalent or higher qualification with a

minimum of 3.5 years of study (210 ECTS) in a technical domain like Mechanical

Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering,

Information Science, etc.

For applicants with a Bachelor degree with 3 years of study (180 ECTS) in a technicaldomain, a single case decision is possible.

A qualified Bachelors degree, whichrequires that the previous course of study hasbeen completed with a grade of at least 2.5 according to the German grading system. If

the course of study has not yet been completed at the time of application, it is required

that 90 % of the total achievements required have been successfully accomplished (i.e.that at least 189 Credit Points have been earned), and that the average grade calculated

from exam results is at least 2.5.

Knowledge of the German language is not compulsory but will result in extra credits

in the ranking procedure.

Post graduate work experience is not compulsory but will result in additional credits in

the ranking procedure.

Application Procedure (Documents to prepare for your application

Download the application forms (available online as a downloadable pdf). Completethe application form on screen and print it.

Affix an ID picture (name/date of birth on the backside) to first page of the printedform.

Attach a copy of your passport.

Add the following papers to your application:

Compulsory:

o Current resume which includes work-experience, educational background and

language qualifications.

o Statement of goals and objectives (one page max.!). Tell us where you see your

future.

o All previous university degree certificate(s).

o Transcripts with titles and grades of all courses attended.o Last school-certificate (which entitles you for studying)

o APS-certificate (only compulsory for applicants from P.R.China).

o Certificate of proficiency in English language, e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, CPE.

(Only to be omitted if your mother tongue is not English.)

Non-Compulsory:

o Certificate of proficiency in German language (if applicable).

o Testimonials from companies for jobs after graduating from university (if

applicable).

All copies of original documents and their translated transcripts must be authenticated.(This could be done by the registrar at your university, the German Embassy, German

Consulate or German Diplomatic Representation in your country, a notary or other

public administration offices.)

Don't attach recommendation lettersor training certificates to your application.

If you are in the middle of finishing your final project, you are welcome to applywithout a bachelors degree certificate. Attach a certification from your university

including the date when you get your degree. You definitely need to present your final

degree certificate upon enrolment.

Include ALLdocuments as separate sheetsin ONE large envelope.

Do not send folders or separate envelopes.

Your COMPLETE application MUST REACH us before the deadline. NO

EXCEPTIONS will be made. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Resending

of missing documents is not possible.

Our deadlines are:

Winter: 15. Julyfor EU citizen (30. Apr. for non EU citizen)

Summer: 15. Jan. for EU citizen (30. Sep. for non EU citizen)

If your application reaches after deadline, it can be taken into the next applicationperiod.

Procedure after your documents have reached us

You will get a confirmation notice by email a few days after your application papers

reached us. Incomplete applications will be rejected directly.

If the number of applications exceeds the number of places available for the next

semester, the applications will be ranked according to performance criteria. A

performance-comparison will be done after the application period. The top-rankedapplicants will get admission.

Almost within 4 weeks after the application deadline you will be informedautomatically regarding your status of admission by postal mail or email.

Within the time between confirmation notice and selection, communication is not

possible. Please do not send any mail or call us.

Admitted students will be asked to accept their admittance.

Due to administration procedures and effort, we can not disclose the different reasons

for rejecting an application
