WARNING
In a dive in which more than one gasmixture is active, the
button isused to start the gas switch sequence.Hence it no longer
displays the set diveparameters as is the case in single gasmixture
dives.
WARNING
During the dive it will not be possible toswitch to a gas mix at
a depth deeper thanthe MOD or the gas itsel.
NOTE
Use the button to begin theprocess o activating a gas mix
dierentthan the one currently in use.
You can exit rom the gas switchingprocess by pressing the
button.
I only one gas mixture is set in thecomputer, pressing will
displaythe set dive parameters instead o
starting the gas switch process. The small D in the bottom right
o the
display indicates that more than one gaswas set prior to the
dive. The number oarrows is indicative o the mix currentlyin use
(MIX 1 = 1 arrow, MIX 2 = 2 arrows,MIX 3 = 3 arrows)
During the dive, on ascent, i the depth is suchthat the next
available mix can be activated,the currently active oxygen
percentage willstart blinking.
To switch gas, press : this will promptthe currently active mix
to be displayed.
Now press the button to scroll through theavailable gas mixes
(MIX 2 and, i applicable,MIX 3). Note that Nemo Wide will only
displaythe gases compatible with the current depth.
Once the gas you are switching to is visible onthe display,
press to confrm it. Thiswill cause the gas indication itsel to
blink orthree seconds, ater which Nemo Wide willreturn to show the
regular dive inormation,and the decompression calculation will
reectthe switch to the new gas.
WARNING
Once you have switched to a gas with ahigher oxygen percentage,
do not descendbelow its MOD. Nemo Wide will alertyou o this
dangerous situation with anaudible and visual alarm, but even a
shortexposure to high ppO2 can result in seriousinjury or
death.
NOTE
You can start the process o switchinggas at any time manually,
as long as thedepth is equal or shallower than theMOD o the next
available gas mix.
Once the process o gas switching hasbeen initiated, you have 8
seconds toconclude it; else Nemo Wide will abortthe process and
revert to the previouslyactive gas.
During a gas switch process, Nemo Widepresents as available only
those gaseswhose MOD is equal to or shallower than
the current depth. Ater perorming a gas switch,
remember to veriy that the oxygenpercentage displayed on the
computermatches your expectations. Always veriythat the switch took
place as expected!
During ascent Nemo Wide alerts you othe possibility o switching
to a dierentmix by blinking the oxygen percentage othe currently
active gas.

For dives in which more than one gas mix wasused, the logbook
will contain the ollowinginormation: once inside a particular dive,
the button
will scroll through the gas mixes used; once inside profle view
o a particular dive,
the additional arrows in the bottom righto the display will
appear correspondingto when the switch took place. Please notethat
the actual switch may have happened20 to 40 seconds earlier due to
the reducedsampling rate in the logbook compared tothe actual dive,
hence also the displayeddepth may not coincide exactly with that
othe actual switch.
STOpWATCHINBOTTONTIMEMODE
The new frmware upgrade adds a stopwatchunction when Nemo Wide
is in Bottom Timemode.
Press to activate the stopwatch, and pressit again to start it.
Press the same button onemore time to stop the stopwatch.
