    Aslongasyoudontregisteranyexistingorcreateanewdatapool,theLIFTdatamanagerapplicationwillnotwork.Youarefreetoregister/createasmanydatapoolsinanylocationyoulike.

    2.2 LIFTdesigner 5 Data Pools

    OneofthemainnewLIFTdesigner5featuresistheseparationoftheprogramdatafromthemainprogram.Inthiscontext,theprogramdataisseparatedinsocalledDataPools.ThedatapoolslocationcanbedifferentfromthelocationoftheLIFTdesigner5/LIFTdatamanagerinstallationdirectory.

    ThedatapoolsprovidethedatathatisnecessarytorunthenewLIFTdesigner5/LIFTdatamanagerapplications.ThemainideaofthisconceptistobeabletoruntheLIFTdesigner5/LIFTdatamanagerprogramwithdifferent,registereddatapoolsthatmaycontaindifferentdata:

    Export options

    Youcansetthefollowing,additionaloptionsforthemanufacturerfileexport:

    Create Export TXT file: ActivatethischeckmarkifyouwanttocreateanadditionalexportTXTfilecontainingallinformationabouttheexporteddatabasecontent.

    Verify RID content: Activatethischeckmarkifyouwanttheexporteddatabasecontenttobeverifiedduringtheexportprocess.Theverificationresultwillbeaddedtothelogfilethatgetscreatedduringtheexportprocess.

    Keep intermediate MDB: Enablethischeckmarkifyouwanttokeeptheintermediatemanufacturerdatabasewhichgetscreatedduringtheexportprocess(Theintermediatedatabasecontainsonlythemanufacturerspecificdatathatgetsextractedfromthesystemdatabaseduringtheexportprocess).

    Add Annotate files: Thischeckmarkisenabledbydefault.Itenablestheexportofmanufacturerspecificannotatetext

    filesthatmayhavebeenaddedtosomeofthemanufacturerspecificdatarowsinLIFTdatamanager.Disablethischeckmarkifyoudonotwanttoexportthemanufacturerspecificannotatetextfileswiththemanufacturermodule.

    2.7 Delete Module...

    Ifyouwanttodeleteoneofthedatapools,clickontheDeleteModule...button.Youmustverifythedeletionofthedatapool.

    Deletingadatapoolisacriticalprocess.Onceyouhavedeletedadatapool,

    thedeleteddatacannotberestoredanymore.
