    Sectorial antennas (Dual Slant) are

offered in 60, 90 or 120 degree patterns

    Frequency support

    2.3 - 2.7 GHz

    3.5 3.6 GHz

    N-Type Connector

    50 impedance

    Access Uni t An tenna

Polarization of each antenna is 45deg from the vertical

    center:Port 1: +45deg from the center

Port 2: -45deg from the center

Polarization between the antenna is crossed (90deg)

which provides isolation of more than 25dBm

BreezeMAX TDD typically use Dual Slant antennas

for the installation of the system in 2nd and 4th order

    diversity configurations.

    4 Guidelines for Antenna Installation

Antennas used with the BreezeMAX System can be installed in different

    configurations and with specific requirements

Antennas should be positioned in such a way that the coverage will not be

affected by conditions of the roof, building unit or tower/pole on which

    these are installed

The antenna should be installed to provide maximum performance for the

coverage to all CPE within its service area

    5Guidelines for Antenna InstallationScenario 1

When BST antennas are installed outside the boundaries of the roof there

are two limitations:1. The minimum distance between the antenna and the railing or building side is 25 cm.

    2. The angle between the antenna and the roof is 22 degrees

    25 CM

    6Guidelines for Antenna InstallationScenario 2

When the antenna is installed on the edge of a roof.

In this scenario, the antenna is installed on a pole on top of the railing.

The antenna is not blocked by anything on the roof, or on adjacent roofsIt is essential to maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between the lower part of the

antenna and the top of the roof, fence or railing, whichever is closer to the antenna

    1.5 M

    7Guidelines for Antenna InstallationScenario 3

When the antenna is installed toward the center of the roof.

In this scenario, the antenna is installed on a pole, similar to scenario 2 and

the pole is installed towards the center of the roof, railing, or fence. It is essential to maintain a minimum distance between the lower part of the antenna and

fence or railing, in order to minimize disturbance of the antennas lobe

The distance to the roofs floor and the fence depends on the distance of the antenna from

the railing. The farther the horizontal distance of the antenna from the raising, the larger the

    vertical distance

    Blocking object

    8Antenna Configurations using2nd or 4th Order Diversity

When antennas are installed using a diversity configuration.

In this scenario, two antennas are installed per sector to provide

    system diversity.

Both antennas have to be installed identically. With the same azimuth, same

height, same horizontal, and vertical plane, and with the same down-tilt.

The antenna separation is 1.3 meters center to center (10 )

    9 Antenna Configurations Adjacent sectors

The minimum distance between any two BreezeMAX antennas is 0.5 meters.

    (Between adjacent antenna sectors only)

    0.5 meters

BreezeMAX systems use a GPS unit to maintainsynchronization between all BSTs in the service areas

The following are basic guidelines for GPS antennainstallation:

The GPS antenna is equipped with a mounting bracket and canbe mounted in different locations. E.g. mount to one of thesupport beams of the ice bridge, etc.

The GPS antenna must have clear view of the sky, to capture 5satellites or more.GPS antennas must be installed with 360degrees clearance from any obstacle.

GPS antennas cannot be partially blocked or shadowed bystructures, buildings, towers etc. Stay clear of antennasoverhanging on the tower, or buildings and trees. At northernlatitudes, keep view to the south clear for better results.

Any of these conditions can affect the GPS receive signal andcreate intermittent or constant loss of synchronization for theBST.

The RS-422 interface allows installation at distances up to 100musing an Outdoor rated CAT5e Ethernet cable (Supply byAlvarion). The allows flexibility for the selection of the GPSantenna location

The cabling for the GPS unit should run parallel to the IF cablingand enter the cabinet through the same cable entry point. Thelength of the GPS cable may be adjusted at site. Extra

connectors are provided with the cable. Note the wire diagram inthe Installation manual or provided with the GPS kit.
