We can say that we are growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ because of the Word of God which you never fail to proclaim by your preaching- teaching, and which you always exemplify by your walk with God and your family’s faithfulness to the Lord. Thank you very much. With our praises to God, we appreciate and regard your labor for us, so we can be strengthened in the faith. Your fervent prayers and constant prodding for us to serve God, together with your fruitful ministry-endeavors, are surely a great help in our church-involvement. We are truly enjoying the blessings that God is bestowing to CBBC through your diligence. Thank you very much. With our commitment to God, we acknowledge and support your servant-leadership over us. Indeed, we cannot deny that your godly influence is not only touching, but is also creating divine ripples in our spiritual lives, in our families, and in our work places. Such inspires and drives us to pursue and work for those that yield eternal dividends with our heavenly investments. Thank you very much. Today, it is with joy and honor that we greet you, our beloved Pastor, a very victorious and joyous birthday. We “wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (III John 3). We love you.

BHBC BANQUET NIGHT 2012

CBBC-Old Building’s Second Floor was dressed up in drapes of various colors as BHBC joyfully celebrated a night of thanks-giving themed: “A Heart for God’s Glory Is Bound to Give Thanks,” last Tuesday, 17 April. It was a banquet full of fun and pur-pose highlighted with multi-media presentations of students to express unspeakable gratefulness to the Lord for the commit-ted teachers who are investing their time, talents and treasures in inspiring them to be effective ministers for Christ. Rev. Dante de Leon preached and charged everyone to develop a thankful heart for God’s glory. Also, the event would not be complete without the giving of a birthday tribute to Dr. Ed Laurena, the man who pioneered this great institution. Surely, all glory and thanks be to God!

GRADE 6 RETREAT

“Keep walking with the Lord all the way, keep trusting in His Word every day, keep looking for the Son, watch and pray...” Such was the song that wafted all through the retreat sessions and exhortations in this year’s Grade 6 Retreat as twenty involved students gave their talent, treasure and time in cooperation to this annual program. The Sunday School teachers who guided the event prayed up, planned out and promoted for its success and the Lord rewarded by invoking a manifestation in the hearts of these precious young students a com-mitment for a closer walk with God through His Holy Word. Through the mini-musical lite-rary festival and activities, the students exhi-bited their potentials in singing, songleading, preaching, and team-building competence. The Bonfire testimonies were richly evident of

how the Word of God that was exhorted by Preacher Jonah Raña and Bro. Jay-Ar Daracan worked in the students’ hearts and minds to desire to have more commitment in the ministry, and to love God and the Bible more fervently. The event was capped off by a soulwinning morning and it was heartwarming as the delegates together with the Sunday School teachers led 103 souls to the Lord around the vicinity of CBBC-Sto Tomas led by Pastor Oliver America who also graciously received us in their abode for an overnight stay and accommodations for devotions and activities.

BACCALAUREATE SERVICE FOR COLLEGE GRADUATES VICTORIOUSLY HELD

“Godly character is more important than a college diploma.” Thus emphasized Dr. Ed M. Laurena in his message during the Baccalaureate Service for graduating college students held on April 20 at the CBBC Administration Building. The said event, bear-ing the theme, “Through It All” and anchored on Isaiah 43:2, aimed to celebrate God’s wonderful work and victorious molding in the lives of the collegians who succeeded in finishing their course by the grace and power of the Lord, midst the rigors, challenges, demands and difficulties of college life.

The occasion was sponsored by the College Sunday School Department, and was enjoyed by 53 attendees, including including

14 students from BHBC and eight from other colleges and universities, as well as parents and guests. One highlight of the night was the awarding of certificates of participation to all the graduating students who participated in church activities, as well as the presentation of certificates of recognition to those with ministries, and to the Pastor’s awards recipients.

Never tell a young person that something cannot be done. God may have been waiting for countless centuries for somebody ignorant enough of the impossibility to do that thing.

The measure of a life, after all, is not its duration, but its donation.

God has created each youth to do Him some definitive service. He has committed some work to a young person which He has not committed to another. Each youth has a God- given mission.

Every youth who is ambitious to grow to the full stature of noble manhood must make up his mind at the start that he has got to bebigger than the things that are trying to down him. If he doesn’the will go down with them.

Young people will respond if the challenge is tough enough and hard enough. Youth wants a master and a controller. Young people were built for God, and without God as the center of their lives they become frustrated and confused, desperately grasping for and searching for security.

Rosary Manzanilla“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”Jeremiah 32:27

Tunay pong “their labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

Maricar Del Castillo"Let us hear the conclu-sion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."Ecclesiastes 12:13
