MBAF Promotes Steven Morrison to Director
MIAMI Steven Morrison, CPA, has been promoted to director in the
Audit Department of
nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown,
Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF).
Based in MBAF's Miami office, Morrison previously served as a
senior manager in the firm's
Audit Department. The announcement was made by Tony Argiz,
Chairman and CEO of MBAF.
As a director, his responsibilities include the planning and
execution of audits, as well as
advising engagement teams on accounting and auditing matters.
Morrison has experience in a
variety of industries including automotive dealerships, employee
benefits plans, freight
forwarding/mail courier, mortgage lending, nonprofit, retail,
telecommunications and
wholesale/distribution.

team and has provided his
clients with impeccable service," David Barbeito, CPA,
principal-in-charge of the Audit
Department at MBAF and head of the Middle Market Group. "His
hard work, dedication to his

Morrison is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and the Florida
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where he serves on
the board of directors of the Miami
Downtown Chapter. He also currently serves as chair of the
FICPA's Accounting Principles and
Auditing Standards Committee. Morrison served on the 2013 AICPA
National Advanced
Accounting and Auditing Technical Symposium (NAAATS) Steering
Committee, and was a
conference speaker on the subject of Equity Method Accounting
and Auditing Issues.
Morrison attended the University of Florida where he earned both
a Bachelor of Science in
Accounting and a Master of Arts in Real Estate. He also earned a
Master of Accounting degree
from Florida Atlantic University.
