The Opportunity

North Bridge House is a family of five independent co-educational day schools in North London.Founded in 1939, North Bridge House offers an independent, mixed ability co-education, challenging and inspiring girls and boys throughout every stage of their school career. Across five North London school sites, we successfully prepare happy pupils for every milestone, with specialist expertise at each school stage – from the important early years through to the challenging teenage ones. The primary aims of the role are to act as the first point of contact to new parents and students enquiring via telephone, email, web, or in-person via open days for example. To provide an efficient and accurate data capture and convert the initial enquiry into a subsequent visit at the school and/or application.

The Role: Enquiries Officer

North Bridge House School seeks to appoint an efficient and personable Enquiries Officer to join the school’s admissions team and help advance its profile and pupil roll.

This represents an opportunity to support all five North Bridge House Schools while being based full-time at our Senior School in Hampstead. The appointed Enquiries Officer will support close working relationships with other members of the Admissions Team, and other key constituent teams within the schools, including the Marketing Team, the Senior Leadership Teams, and the Business Manager. With the support of the Admissions Team, the Enquiries Officer will provide a welcoming first point of contact to prospective families/students. S/he will communicate with prospective parents by telephone, email and letter, and occasionally in-person at school admissions events.

The Enquiries Officer will ensure that all enquiries receive a timely, and effective response, and facilitate communications between other members of the Admissions Team and prospective parents when suitable. S/he will promote admissions events to enquirers, and facilitate bookings for open days and other visits.

The enquiries officer will capture both enquirer and applicant details to update the database, while continually reviewing the enquiry process, offering suggestions on improvements when possible. S/he will work with the Data Officer to ensure that the database meets the accuracy needs of the admissions team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the admissions enquiry pipeline Represent NBH’s first point of contact with potential applicants and their families Support positive relationships between enquirers and NBH Receive, log and respond to new enquiries via the NBH website, telephone and occasional walk-ins Log and maintain data in to the admissions systems accurately and in a timely manner Identify and regularly communicate with any enquirers that do not subsequently apply to NBH Capture enquirer details and relay them clearly and accurately to the admissions officer/manager at

the relevant NBH school Schedule and confirm timings for tours or schools visits Support parents in their applications where possible – especially when they are unable to visit NBH

in person Collate and dispatch (via email or post) tailored enquirer packs Process all application forms (online and paper based) within 48 hours, requesting any missing

information and handover to the appropriate admissions officer/manager Ensure all application forms and paperwork is reliably scanned and correctly stored Keep the admissions system up-to-date with status changes at each stage Support the Data Officer in supplying accurate pipeline data for analysis and onward transmission g

to Cognita as part of the school’s monthly report on pupil enrolment and forecast of future enrolment

Assist the NBH admissions team as necessary throughout peak periods in the cycle Report to the Head of Admissions

The success of the role is measured by the conversion ratios from enquiry to application and the level of customer experience provided.
