Customer InputCustomer provides desired coverage areas and service requirements(Input sheets).
If possible, customer provides database of geo-coded customers.
If base station locations (towers, rooftops) are available, list is provided.
Initial Models
Obtain clutter data (typically 30m resolution or better)
Modeling uses Hexagon NIR software tool. NIR includes Optisite toselect best BS locations. Sites may be ranked.
If no existing sites are available, initial model formulates Search Rings,so that sites may be located within these areas
If sites are provided, the initial model selects the best combination ofsites.

RNP Radio Network Plan Report
Radio Planning is presented in a ReportExplains the inputs received, the process, and the results
Discussion of the results
RNP requires multiple iterations.
Sites not able to be used because of leasing issues, structural issues,
or other
Alternate sites need to be worked into the plan
Expansion or loading issues later require new sites to be inserted into
the plan
