Create a new quote for the appropriate account by starting in the Account Quotes view Navigate to Accounts > Quotes to create the quote Account information is copied to the quote automatically

If done before adding line items, the shipping information will be applied to each line item as it is added

Select Submit from the order menu to send the order to the external fulfillment system

Revising a Submitted Order

After an order has been submitted, the order can be revised This type of order is called a supplemental order

To revise an order, navigate to the order and click Revise Status of order is changed to Pending Revision number is incremented

Implementing Order Revision

To support submission of revised orders, the Submit Order Process workflow must be modified Disallow submission if the order has passed the “point of no

return,” as determined by business requirements Compare before and after versions of the order to submit changes

to the back-end fulfillment system Interact with fulfillment system to cancel, update, roll back, or

accelerate order line items Workflow process modification is performed by a developer or

configurator Order revision can be disabled

Creating a Follow-On Order

If an order cannot be revised, a follow-on order can be placed using the original order as a starting point Locate the original order Choose a line item and select Modify from the menu

A new quote is created containing that line item

Manual Repricing

Quotes and orders are automatically repriced when line items are added or removed

Certain changes that may affect pricing do not trigger repricing automatically Change to line item parameter Change to quote or order parameter

Manual repricing can be invoked on-demand for single line items or the entire quote from the Line Items menu

Tracking Shipments

After an order has been submitted, a user can monitor the status of shipments in the Order > Shipments tab

The Siebel application must be integrated with a back-office system that controls fulfillment of your products Successful fulfillment sets each line item status to Complete
