CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Here’s SOME of the work that was done this week:

The new multipurpose facility is really coming along. Above is a picture of how GIANT this is going to be. The new weight room, a classroom, and a couple new team locker rooms will be on the ground floor while the auxiliary gym will be on the second floor.

The coping has been completed on the new office and main entrance of the building so you should see what the “finished” product will look like where the walls meet the roof. It’s going to be GREAT when all of the building is addressed!

The 2 new science (Physics & Chemistry) classrooms have been painted, all the lighting has been installed and the markerboards have been hung. Below is a picture of one of these new rooms:

o Is your student considering an AP course for next year? Let us help! Advanced Placement (AP) is a program that runs through CollegeBoard and allows students to take coursework in high school where they can earn college credit and/or qualify for more advanced courses when they begin college. AP courses are college-level courses offered to high school students. To earn college credit for an AP class, students must take and pass the corresponding Advanced Placement test. These tests are scored on a range of 1-5, with 5 being the highest possible score. A score of 3 is considered passing. Take a look at our AP Information for Students and Parents document to learn more about what teachers and students are saying about AP courses at AHS.
