Spread: this is what differentiates the bid price of a currency pair from its ask price. Most of the time, popular currency pairs have low spread and in some cases, it is even lower than a pip. On the other hand, pairs that don’t receive as much attention from traders tend to have a much higher spread. The profitability of a Forex trade is dependent on the ability of a currency pair’s value to cross the spread.

Margin: margin is used to refer to the money in the account of a trader. Often, the average Forex trader cannot trade a high volume due to insufficient margin, which is a requirement for such trades. Thereby, they lose the opportunity to make a good profit. But today, a lot of Forex brokers provide their clients with leverage to meet up with the right margin for high volume trades.

Jean Atem (real name Jean Atem Farah) pronounced je t’aime, got his name from his Haitian father. Named after a French phrase which literally translates to ‘I love you’. In 2018, Lu City competed and came out victorious at the Caribben-wide Machel Music Academy; a grueling 3 day Academy hosted at Gee Jam Studios in Jamaica which saw nine (9) hopefuls selected from hundreds of entries across the Caribbean. The finalists were tasked with writing, producing and recording new tracks each day under the mentorship of Machel Montano alongside industry professionals such as Grammy Nominated Singer/Songwriter Shontelle Layne and Roc Nation Producer, Deputy. Coming out of the Digicel sponsored Machel Montano Music Academy, Lu City was able to perform alongside Machel Montano himself, live at the 2018 staging of Machel Monday in Trinidad and Tobago.

Cons Of Working On A Cruise Ship

The Working HoursDepending on your job, you can expect to work between 9-14 hours a day (with breaks). You’re more likely to work longer hours on sea days and embarkation day. You also work 7 days a week which might feel a bit much at times! It can be very hard work as well depending on the size of cruise ship you end up on. A smaller one may feel more relaxed and easier to cope with, whereas a larger ship maybe more chaotic and busy.

Long ContractThe long working hours aren’t helped by the fact you have a long contract usually between 4-10 months (again, and even longer depending position and extensions). If you decide to bail early you will have to pay for your flight home.

PrivacyThere is not much privacy as a crew member. You will most likely share a room with someone else and they may not be considerate or thoughtful while you’re sleeping and they are getting ready for their shift. Your room mate will probably be from a different country

as well which may make communication difficult too.

RulesRules can feel suffocating at times, particularly as you are living by them everyday. There are rules for dress code, when you eat, where you a socialize, alcohol limit, when you get to enjoy time off and the list goes on. If you don’t follow the rules it can lead to warnings and contract termination.

GuestsYou may find guests difficult to deal with but this is usually an issue with most service jobs. Cruise ship guests are one of a kind though and can be very demanding, of course there are nice guests too. Just stay relaxed and easy going if you can.

In conclusion the positives are also totally worth the negatives and the experience alone will teach you so much about yourself and others.

I think you will find this type of job easier to do if you are easy going and can roll with the punches. If that isn’t your personality, this type of job may just force you into being more relaxed or send you stir crazy.

Creole Fish StewINGREDIENTS

- 2 whole red bream or large snapper prepared and cut into 1 inch pieces- 2 tbsp spice seasoning- 2 tbsp malt vinegar, flour for dusting- Flour, for dusting- Oil, for frying

METHOD:Sprinkle the fish with the spice seasoning and vinegar, turning to coat. Set aside to marinate for at least 2 hours. When ready to cook, place a little flour on a large plate and coat with fish pieces, shaking off any excess pieces. Heat a little oil in a large frying pan and fry the fish pieces for about 5 minutes until golden brown, then set aside to finish cooking in the sauce.

To make the sauce, heat the oil & butter in a large pan and stir-fry the onion for 5 minutes.Add tomatoes, garlic, and thyme, stir well and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in stock or water, cinnamon and hot pepper. Add the fish pieces and the chopped peppers. Simmer until the fish is cooked through, and the stock has reduced to a thick sauce. Adjust the seasoning with salt. Serve hot, garnish with oregano.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020.
