SAU has two kinds of frames:
basic frame and expansion frame.
There are 1 basic and two
expansion frames in full
configuration.
Only IBM solution has expansion
frame. It depends on numbers of
subscriber.

Number of devices
To help in recognizing all categories of module components, it is necessary to number those of the same category uniformly.
Shelf number To recognize individual shelves easily, each shelf is given a number, called shelf number. The shelf with the basic frame is numbered as Shelf 0.
HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD. Page 12All rights reserved

Number of devices
Frame number
The system can support ten frames at most, numbering from 0 to 9. The basic frame in the integrated configuration shelf is numbered as Frame 0.
HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD. Page 13All rights reserved
The 8-bit Dual Inline Package (DIP) S3 of SIU is provided for setting frame numbers. The corresponding setting table is shown in follow

Shelf/Frames/Boards
Add Boards
Before adding the boards, the frame and shelf to which the
boards belong must have already been added.
WSMU/WALU/PSM will be added automatically after the
frame has been added.
If parameters need to be modified, please delete the board
at first then add it again.
Two pieces of CPC will be added automatically after the
WCSU has been added.

Questions
What’s the sequence for hardware data conf.?
Which board will be added automatically after a
frame has been added?
How to make the data active in switch after we
configure the data offline?
What conditions are needed for E1 configuration?
HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD. Page 48All rights reserved
Answer
1 Add shelf-> Add frame-> Add board->others
2 WSMU , WALU 和 PSM 。 Use FMT to format data. Use LON to set online. Then lo
ad it.
We need add WCSU and WEPI at first.
