The three “must haves” to use the FFD application are:

Approval to use the EIE system, which is provided by your certificate.
• Access to the data, which is authorized by the NRC FFD Administrator.
• Adobe Reader 9.0 or Adobe Professional 9.0, which can be downloaded free of charge from the web.
The clearance to EIE and access to the FFD data are separate actions.
Digital ID Certificate:
• Controls who may have system access
• Enables secure data transfer

Request a certificate authorization code:

You will need to provide: your name, email address, phone number, the organization you work for and your role in the organization.

Digital ID Certificate Enrollment Form
Complete the online Enrollment Form, populating all required fields:

• Your Name: First, Last and Middle Initial • E-mail Address• When entering the Certificate Approval Code,
use the code provided in the email with the subject: “Approval Code for Certificate”.
• Organization• Phone Number• Challenge phrase
Select the “Submit” button.

select the “Set Security Level” button.

At the “Choose a security level appropriate for this item” dialogue box, select the radio button for High.

You will be prompted to create and enter the new password twice.

Certificate Approval Email:Open the “Your Digital ID is ready” email from [email protected]
This email will contain:

A link to NRC’s Digital ID Center
and
A VeriSign provided Personal ID Number (PIN)
Installing Your Certificate:
• Enter the PIN number

• Select the “Submit” button
You will receive a “Congratulations! Your Digital ID has been successfully generated and installed”
notification.
You may begin using the certificate immediately!
