MEMO To: Student Participants Date: September 2016 From: Douglas Clark RE: Jesus & Judges Study Tour 2017 This memo provides the basic guidelines for students planning to take the Jesus & Judges Study Tour 2-‐25 July, 2017. PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINE – 15 December 2016.
Some basic guidelines for this study tour: 1) All students must register for 8 units 2) All students must register for a Jesus and a Judges course 3) These courses are cross-‐listed (Jesus and Judges courses separately, of course) 4) Courses are academic level-‐specific with varied requirements 5) Students must choose one from among these options for Judges:
a. ARCH/RELB 240 Stories of the Judges b. ARCH/RELB 440 The Book of Judges c. ENGL 445/545 Biblical Literature d. ARCH/RELB 540 Studies in the Book of Judges
6) Students must choose one from among three options for Jesus: a. ARCH/RELB 241 Mark’s Jesus b. ARCH/RELB 441 Jesus in the Book of Mark c. ENGL 445/545 Biblical Literature d. ARCH/RELB 541 Studies in the Book of Mark
Registration for the classes: 1) Register in the normal way for summer study tours, once online summer registration
opens 2) Cost is tuition only (no added fees/2017 undergraduate tuition, according to policy) 3) $500 deposit due 15 Dec 16, but sooner is always better (later only if space available)
