Welcome to our new brochure for 2017. In the front you will find the dayexcursions, and at the back you will find a selection of holidays.

This year we have introduced some changes to the pick-up routes for the day excursions.The new routes can be found inside the back cover, and we hope you will agree that thisnew system will offer a much improved service. Ultimately you will spend less time

travelling and more time at your chosen destination.

General ConditionsThese conditions apply to any day excursion advertised in thisbrochure or otherwise providing it includes no overnight accommodation. Tickets are issued by or on behalf of Happy DaysCoaches.

No SmokingSmoking is not permitted on any Happy Days day excursion for thebest interest and travelling comfort of all our passengers. We willmake regular stops en-route.

Responsibility/LiabilityWe do not exclude or limit liability to our clients for negligence ofour agents or employees. However we do not accept liability for anyactions or omissions of those involved in your travel arrangements,over whom we have no direct control, and who are not employed byus our employees or agents. The Company shall not be liable forloss or additional expenses by delay from beyond its control.

TicketsEvery passenger must possess an authorised ticket which MUSTHAVE BEEN PAID FOR IN ADVANCE OF TRAVEL. The ticket will beevidence that the passenger accepts these booking conditions.Tickets can be purchased from Happy Days Ltd or one of its agents,and must be presented to the driver on each day excursion.

Cancellations BY CustomerIf you wish to cancel the Company is under no obligation to make arefund or exchange.

Route ChangeThe Company may change Excursion or tour routes or itineraries,but not the general destination or purpose without notice. In theevent of a change of the general destination or purpose the customer may cancel up to three working days before departure toobtain a full refund of all monies paid, which shall be the limit of thecompany’s liability.

Meeting FriendsWe always try to park in the best central place but it is not always possible. For customers wishing to meet friends we strongly advisethat arrangements are made at a suitable well known landmark.

Cancellation By CompanyWe reserve the right to cancel any excursion caused by eventsbeyond our control. These shall include technical problems to transport, withdrawal or changes to facilitate at destination, industrial disputes, war or threat of war, riots and civil strife, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire, withdrawal of services onroute, admission or other services, sickness, breakdown, weather orany other unpredictable events. We reserve the right to withdrawany Excursion on which a few bookings only have been made.

FaresPlease note prices are correct at time of going to print but are subject to change in the event of an increase in fuel prices orentrance fees. The fares shown are for Adults (aged 14 and above)and Children (aged 2-13 inclusive). There are a small number oftrips where an Over 60’s price applies: please see individual trips fordetails. There are some tours where no reductions are made.Children upto 2 years of age travel free, but are not allocated a seaton the coach.

Seating on CoachAlthough every attempt will be made to seat you in booked reservedseats, the company due to unforeseen circumstances may amend numbers without notification.

Drop-Off PointsPassengers are reminded it is company policy that all passengersare set down on the return journey at their original pick-up point.

We alsocare about our reputation and want to be sure you under-stand your commitment when accepting the agreement,therefore we would be grateful if you would spend a few min-utes reading the booking conditions below as they detail yourcommitment to us and our obligations to you, when a con-tract is made between us.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

1. How do I make a contract with you?You can make the contract by telephone or visiting our booking office. When making the contract for yourself andthe others named in your party, you do so having read, under-stood and accepted our booking conditions and the Holiday information provided in this brochure. When you make yourbooking you must pay a deposit for every person named onthe booking, details of which are listed below. If you bookwithin the balance due date, which is six weeks before thedate of departure, you must pay the total price of the holiday (including any insurance premiums) at the time you book.You must pay the balance of the price of the holiday on orbefore the balance due date. No further reminders will besent. If you do not, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and you will have to pay the cancellation charges setout in section 5. The contract between us is made when yourbooking is entered on our computer and a booking referencenumber is produced. At that moment the contract betweenus begins. We will send you a confirmation within 7 days ofthe receipt of your payment. Please check it carefully toensure all the details are correct.

2. What do I have to pay and when?When you make a contract we accept it on the terms set outin this brochure. A £50 per person deposit is required within7 days, along with the appropriate insurance payment. Your obligation is to pay the price of the holiday and recogniseyour liabilities if you wish to alter the holiday or have to makea cancellation. On our part we have obligations to provide you with the holiday you have booked. Our specification of that holiday and our terms are clearly stated in this brochure. Your contract is entered intowith Happy Days. These booking conditions apply to all holidays sold from this brochure and all supplementary advertising publications.

3. Special Requests Should you have any special requests (such as low floorrooms, sea view, adjoining rooms) you MUST advise us at thetime of booking. We will then pass on your special request tothe hotel(s) concerned. We generally receive many requests,however, and under no circumstances can we guarantee thatthey will be met or that the hotel(s) is/are able to provide therequested facility. We cannot, therefore, accept a bookingwhich is made conditional upon a special request being satisfied.

4. If you change your bookingIf, after our confirmation has been issued, you wish tochange to another of our current holidays or change thedeparture date, we will do our utmost to make the changes.You are obliged to notify us in writing, and that request mustbe from the person responsible for the original reservation.Such a request must be made before the date that the original balance becomes due, and be accompanied by anadministration fee of £10 per person. Any alteration madeafter the original balance is due, will be regarded as a cancellation, and will be subject to the charges set out in ourcancellation terms in paragraph 5.

5. If you cancel your holidayYou, or any members of your party, may cancel your holidayat any time provided that the cancellation Is made by the person who made the booking, and is communicated in writing, direct to Happy Days. As this incurs administrativecosts we will retain your deposit and, in addition, apply cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below:

42 to 29 days 40% 28 to 15 days 60% 14 days to 0 days 100%

NB. Insurance premiums are non-refundable. All depositsare non-refundable

6. Other Terms On holiday you may not bring a pet (other than Guide Dogsonly and by arrangement). You are responsible for ensuringthat you are at the departure point at the correct time, and wecannot be liable for any loss or expense suffered by passengers because of their late arrival at any departurepoint. On occasions due to different vehicle seating configurations, we may find it necessary to alter seating onthe coach. Excursions are included in most holidays andHappy Days reserve the right to determine the schedule,days of operation and if necessary may alter their contentwithout prior notice for the benefit of our clients, or due toevents beyond our control. No refund can be made to passengers not wishing to travel on inclusive excursions.

7. Unreasonable conductHappy Days reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking or terminate a client’s holiday in the event of unreasonable conduct which in Happy Days’ opinion is likely to cause damage, distress, danger or annoyance toother clients, employees, property or to any third party. If youare prevented from travelling, or continuing your holiday bysuch a termination, Happy Days responsibility for your holiday ceases. Full cancellation charges will apply andHappy Days will be under no obligation for any refund, compensation or loss which you may incur.

8. Our responsibility to you if we change your holidayarrangementsWe plan our holidays many months in advance to ensure

maximum enjoyment. Although unlikely, it is possible thatdue to circumstances beyond our control, e.g. hotel closures/sales of particular holiday not reaching a levelwhich would be economical for us to operate, some changesmay have to be made. Sometimes major changes are necessary. Where before departure we have to alter significantly an essential term of this contract, such as price,location of resort, quality of main hotel, or tour itinerarychanges involving a destination being eliminated, we willnotify you of the change as soon as possible. In such circumstances you will be given the following options:

a. To accept changes to the contract.

b. To take a substitute holiday of equivalent or superior quality if we are able to offer you one.

c. To take a substitute holiday of lower quality if we are able to offer you one and to recover from us thedifference between the price of the original holiday andthat of the substitute holiday.

d. To cancel and have repaid to you as soon as possible allthe monies paid by you under this contract.

If you choose (a), (b) or (c) we will pay you compensation onthe scale below. If you choose (d) we will refund all moniespaid by you, plus compensation on the scale below.

Period of notification given prior to departure date and compensation offered:Within 6 weeks - NIL. Within 2 weeks - £10. Within 1 week -£15. Note: compensation payments do not apply to changescaused by reason of war (or threat of war), riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, government legislation,natural and nuclear disaster and similar events beyond our control. No other claims for compensation or expenses willbe considered.

9. Customer careWe aim to provide you with the best holiday possible, but in the unlikely event that a problem shouldarise, this must be reported to your driver/hotel manager sothat we can resolve the matter on the spot. Once reported tothe driver and hotel but you feel that the complaint cannot beresolved during your holiday, please contact us within 28days of your arrival home, by writing to The CustomerRelations Department, Happy Days Coaches, Paton Drive,Tollgate Park, Stafford, ST16 3EF, stating clearly your bookingreference number, departure date, resort and the name ofhotel. With this information we will be able to deal with yourcomplaint promptly. The main objective is to resolve any disputes immediately while you are still on holiday.

10. Personal injury We also accept responsibility for the negligent acts and/oromissions, not only of our employees or agents, but also ofour suppliers and sub-contractors or agents (provided of

course that any such negligent act or omission is within thescope of, or in the course of their employment) in respect ofclaims arising as a result of death, bodily injury or illnesscaused to the person who signed the booking form and/orany other person on the booking form. Our liability is limitedto that provided by the relevant international convention.

11. Your holiday priceHoliday prices include all coach travel, hotel accommodationand meals specified in the holiday description and VAT at thecurrent rate where applicable. Morning coffee, afternoon tea(unless specified) and other refreshments are not included.Some hotels make a small additional charge for porterageand tea or coffee served after lunch and dinner. Gratuities tothe hotel staff and driver/couriers are discretionary.

Partial Price GuaranteesThe price of a confirmed booking is subject to fluctuationeither upward or downward, and in the event of a fluctuationthe price of a confirmed booking will change accordingly, butonly in respect of variations in transportation costs, includingthe cost of fuel and/or fuel tax, or dues and taxes includingchanges in VAT or any other Government imposed changes.In the event of an increase in price the company will absorban amount equivalent up to 2% of the holiday price excludinginsurance premiums and amendment charges. Should thevalue of any surcharge exceed 10 % of the original holidayprice you will be entitled to:

a. Cancel the holiday and have refunded to you the full monies paid in respect of the holiday excluding amendment fees.

b. To take a substitute holiday of equivalent or superior quality if we are able to offer you one.

c. To take a substitute holiday of lower quality if we are able to offer you one and to recover from us the difference inprices between the substitute and original holidays.

d. To accept the price change.

Should you decide to cancel due to the addition of a surcharge you must exercise your right to do so within 14days of being notified of the value of the surcharge.Surcharges will not be imposed within 30 days of departureunless the holiday is booked within that period.

Prices include all known costs at the time of publication.

12. Holiday insuranceAt Happy Days we are Appointed Representatives of ITCCompliance Limited who are fully authorized by the FinancialConduct Authority for the sale of travel insurance. For resi-dents of the United Kingdom, Happy Days have arrangedpackage travel insurance with Wrightsure Insurance Group,through whom we are able to offer insurance at very competitive rates. Although not compulsory on UK holidays,

we would strongly recommend our clients to consider insurance for their protection against unforeseen losseswhich may be incurred. Please ask for details.

13. Children’s reductionsOn all centred holidays reductions are normally available forchildren providing the child shares a room with two full farepaying passengers. Please enquire at the time of booking.

14. Luggage We ask you to keep luggage to one medium sized suitcaseper person weighing a maximum of 15 kilos, but a small bagcan also be taken on board the coach.

15. Seat allocation and specificationRequests for particular seats can be made on most holidayswhen booking, but since allocations are made on a first comefirst served basis, early booking is advisable. When bookingsare made with us you will be offered the best seats that are available on the coach at the time. There is a standard seating plan of the coach for each holiday, but it ispossible that, on occasions, for operational reasons a coachof different configuration may be used and we must, therefore, reserve the right to alter a seating plan and allo-cate seats other than those you have booked, although thiswill be avoided as far as possible. We shall have no liability inrelation to any such change of specification.

16. Care for the disabledThe holidays in this brochure have been carefully planned toinclude as much interest as possible. Inevitably some of theholidays include lengthy periods of travel and some walkingon sight-seeing excursions, and therefore may not be suitable for everybody. In the interests of safety for all concerned, passengers must have enough mobility to boardand alight from our coaches, with the minimum of assistance. Additionally, many of the hotels will have steps tocontend with and may not possess lifts, and although we willtry our best to look after disabled passengers, it is importantthat you inform our office at the time of booking of any medical condition that would affect your mobility or diet, inorder that we may pass on this important information towhom it may concern.

17. Special dietsYou may have special needs with regard to diet. If so, pleasemake sure that you inform us when booking. This will be notified to the hotel on your holiday and any extra costsincurred must be paid to the hotel by yourself before departure from the hotel. We cannot guarantee any hotelier’scompliance with dietary requests.

18. RoomsPrivate facilities, single or ground floor rooms: All of our holidays include, within the price, accommodation with private facilities. There is usually a limited number of groundor low floor rooms available and requests for this accommodation must be made at the time of booking.However, this type of accommodation cannot be guaranteed

and therefore cannot be a precondition of booking. On anyholiday there are only a limited number of single rooms, andif one is available it may be subject to a supplementarycharge. Please enquire at the time of booking.

19. EntertainmentSome of our hotels arrange entertainment which couldinclude music, dancing etc. However, the nature and frequency of the entertainment presented is at the discretionof the hotel and therefore not guaranteed and could be withdrawn if there is a lack of demand or insufficient numbers in the hotel.

DATA PROTECTION STATEMENTPlease be assured that we have measures in place to protectthe personal booking information held by us. This information will be passed on to the principal and relevantsuppliers of your travel arrangements. The information mayalso be provided to public authorities, or as required by law.Certain information may also be passed on to security orcredit checking companies. We do not store your card detailson our computer system.
