    REGULAR MEETING MONDAY, JANUARY 24, 2011

    Minutes of a regular meeting held in the Rosthern Town Council Chambers onMonday, January 24, 2011 commencing at 6:30 p.m.

    Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Mayor Knoll at 6:30 p.m.

    Agenda20.2011 Corbett: That the agenda for the January 24, 2011 meeting be accepted as

    amended.CARRIED.

    Delegation 6:30 p.m. Clay Debray entered the meeting.

    Minutes - Regular21.2011 Corbett: That the minutes of the January 10, 2011 regular meeting be adopted.

    CARRIED.

    Minutes - Special22.2011 Greve: That the minutes of the January 18, 2011 special meeting be adopted.

    CARRIED.

    Joint Fire Agreement23.2011 Reimer: That the Town enter into a five-year agreement with the RM of Rosthern

    No. 403 for joint firefighting services which would split operating costs 50:50between the RM and the Town, and that callout fees for the use of each otherstrucks would be $100 and a further $300/hr if they are required to pump water orfoam.

    CARRIED.

    Delegation 6:55 p.m. - Clay Debray left the meeting.

    Josh Buniak Resignation24.2011 Corbett: That Council accept, with regret, Josh Buniaks resignation from the

    Town as public works operator, effective January 28, 2011.CARRIED.

    amount of $54,404.15, be approved.CARRIED.

    Garbage Contract33.2011 Greve: That the Town enter into a three-year contract with Valley Action

    Abilities to provide waste management services, including residential andcommercial garbage, recycle and compost pickup at a cost of $97,568.04annually, with a review being done each year and on the following conditions: No unauthorized use of the landfill Better tracking of heavy garbage users

    Tarping of loads while driving down Highway #312 and on the way to thelandfill.CARRIED.

    Henry Zacharias Request34.2011 Reimer: That the Town authorize Henry Zacharias to park his truck on Town

    property on Parcel A, Plan 101688699 located behind his property.

    Bylaw 2011-02 A Bylaw to Provide for Short-term Borrowing

    1st Reading35.2011 Helmuth: That Bylaw 2011-02, a bylaw to provide for short-term borrowing, be

    read a first time.CARRIED.
