Welcome to AVC Building & Renovation (Pty) Ltd, through our years of practical, hands on experience in the construction sector we are in a perfect position to assist our client based on their specific requirements. We have been involved with projects like the restoration of the Mandela House Museum and the Cecilia Makiwane Hospital one of the biggest hospitals in RSA. Our clients range from Pick & Pay, Beekman Canopies, Distillers and various private clients.
ABOUT US
AVC Building & Renovation was formed in November 1999 in Cape Town. We are a construction company which provides high quality accessible services to the highest standards. We believe in high quality workmanship and standards.
The company was established by Albert Coetzee and expansion was soon to follow during the early year of 2002.
Albert Coetzee’s extensive experience as a Contracts Director for a national company brought the expertise to AVC Building & Renovation that was needed in the financial climate from 2001 to 2011.
Vanessa Coetzee joined the AVC Building& Renovation company on August 2006 and a total new dimension was created by a sales driven individual.
As a company we believe in a hand on approach with quality as our main objective.

HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIROMENTAL POLICY
We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all personnel, contractors and visitors to the Company’s sites.
We strive to continually improve the effectiveness of our health and safety system through the setting and measurement of health and safety objectives and by conforming to current applicable Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
The following is a strong foundation for our safety rules:
Safe procedures for work and the appropriate health and safety information to accompany all activities.
Hazards are identified and risks assessed before activities commence
Hazards and risks are reviewed whenever processes, people or natural circumstances change
All persons are trained, authorised and medically fit to perform their duties
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn as defined by risk assessment and site requirements
Emergency response plans, developed from a review of any potential emergency, are in place before commencement of work
Weekly Toolbox Talks will be held, updating employees on safety procedures and Health and Safety Documentation. Problems on site will be discussed.
All Employees, Contractors and Sub- Contractors will be supervised professionally. (Contractors and Sub-Contractors must have their own supervisors on site (OHS Act 85 of 1993 Construction Regulation 6))
All Contractors and Sub-Contractors must be a registered company and in good standing with the compensation fund or with a licensed compensation insurer.(OHS Act 85 of 1993 Construction Regulation 5(f))
A complete Safety file with all the necessary documents required in terms of the OHS Act 85 of1993Construction Regulation 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8.
