COURSE REPORT (6 TH BATCH INDUCTION TRAINING) (01 ST AUGUST 2017 TO 15 TH SEPTEMBER, 2017) The Sixth Batch consisting of 51 nos of ORS officers were put to 30 working days Induction Training in the Institute as per direction of Govt. in Revenue and Disaster Management Deptt vide letter no. 25034 dtd. 28.07.2017. The module was designed for acquaintance by officers with different rules, laws, and regulations of Revenue Administration as well as Disaster Management. Out of 54 nos. of sponsored trainees, 51 officers have completed the Programme. Objective of the Programme :- To make the Participants aware about their roles and responsibilities in the Revenue Administration and to acquaint with different Revenue Laws. To acquaint the participants with the Criminal laws and powers and functions of Executive Magistrates and how to deal with Preventive sections of Cr.P.C. To make them aware about the other miscellaneous laws.

(01ST AUGUST 2017 TO 15TH SEPTEMBER, 2017)

The Sixth Batch consisting of 51 nos of ORS officers were put to 30 working

days Induction Training in the Institute as per direction of Govt. in Revenue and

Objective of the Programme:-

Inauguration:-

Sri Purna Chandra Das, OAS (I) J.B , Administrative officer (I/c. Deputy

Director, Course) welcomed the dignitaries and the trainee Officers and briefed

them on the objectives and contents of the Induction Training programme. Self

Introduction was made by all participating trainee officers. Smt. Puspanjali Parida,

OFS (I) SB, Additional Director (Accounts) encouraged the trainee officers for better

participation in the training programme by way of maintaining utmost discipline in

the campus and attending class regularly.

Sri Raghunath Mohanty, OAS (SAG), Retd. OSD-cum- Director, ROTI put

words of advice to the Trainees to be most truthful, honest in their respective

assignments. A brief hints of SoP was presented by him for guidance of trainee

officers during their stay at ROTI.

A brief description on ROTI, its mandate and curriculum was presented after

which, the training Programme started as per the schedule.

The training was designed as hereunder.

Class room teaching

Short Video clips on Personality Development, Change of Attitude,

Leadership quality etc.

Practical Training on Plain Table & H-Tech Survey.

The module of such 30 working days training was approved by Govt. in

Revenue & DM Deptt. Vide letter no. 25034 dtd. 28.07.2017 & accordingly 30

(Working Days) Schedule was made. The week-wise programme and details of

topics covered in the week are as follows.

WEEK - 1

In the week-1, the following Sessions were taken up,

View on Civil Procedure Code Section 1 to 25, Order- V to XXIV Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Section. 4, 8-A, 19, 22, 23, 36, 37, & 59) &

Rules. The Odisha Public Demand Recovery Act, 1962 / Rules Mutation Manual The Odisha Public Demand Recovery Act, 1962 / Rules Odisha Special Survey & Settlement Act 2012 / Rules

Experienced, Retired and Senior most Guest Faculties were invited for

training sessions.

WEEK-2

The courses of week-2 started with Revenue Laws and Rules and field

training on Plain Table Survey & Hi-Tech Survey along with theory chapter.

(Doubt Clearance) Odisha Government Land Settlement Act, 1962 / Rules

(Doubt Clearance) Odisha Irrigation Act, 1959 / Rules including Odisha Pani Panchayat Act Settlement of Sairat Sources under Minor Mineral Concession Rule, 2016

Experienced, Retired and Senior most Guest Faculties were invited for

training sessions.

The courses of week-3 continues with field training on Hi-Tech Survey and

following topics were also taught in the week covering Revenue & Miscellaneous

Laws.

Forest Rights) Act / Rules, 2006 Section 144 to 148 Of Cr.PC Odisha Relief Code & Basic Concepts in Disaster Management, the

Disaster Management Act. 2005 and the Odisha Disaster ManagementRules. 2010. SOP of Disaster Management and ResponseMechanism.

The Trainees were provided with ideas on various Acts and Rules concerning

to Revenue Laws, General & Civil Laws. Experienced and learned people were

invited as Resource Persons to impart the training.

All the Trainees were being provided with Evaluation sheet to give their

feedback about the Training course and resource persons at the end of each week.

All the Trainees were provided with sufficient Training materials both in shape

of hard and soft copies in pen drive provided by the Institute.

On 15th September, 2017, the valedictory function was organized in presence

of Sri Raghunath Mohanty, OSD-cum-Director, ROTI, Additional Director

(Accounts), Deputy Director, Administrative Officer, Asst. Directors, ROTI. All

Officers inspired the trainees with their advices. The individual trainee ORS officers

have introduced themselves and expressed their experience & satisfaction on the

overall conduct of the Training. The trainee officers have expressed their feelings

and narrated the importance of the topic and advice given by him during the training

days to maintain the truthfulness, humbleness and sincerity, and to have empathy,

responsiveness towards public.

During Valedictory ceremony all the participants were awarded with certificate

of participation for training.

of thanks to all concerned and with this, the 30 (Working) days Induction Training
