Cell and Tissue Lysates

BD Biosciences has expanded its lysate programto provide researchers with a simple and effectivecontrol for Western Blotting experiments. Celland tissue lysates are prepared and extensivelyscreened in our laboratories to ensure theirquality and reliability. These are the same celland tissue lysates routinely used in thedevelopment of BD Transduction Laboratories™monoclonal antibodies. On the back you willfind our entire lysate product line, whichincludes human, rat, and mouse cell and tissuelysates, as well as treated lysates for studies ofphosphorylation, apoptosis, and gene expression.

Custom Pre-Run Western BlotMembranes

BD Biosciences now offers custom Pre-RunWestern Blot Membranes (BD TransductionLaboratories) for use with any of our lysates,which are listed on the back. These membranesoffer savings in time and cost of producingWestern blots of cells or tissues. No need forlysate preparation, electrophoresis, transfer, orblocking in your laboratory. We prepare custommembranes that facilitate the study of 12, 2, or 1lysate per blot. You choose the cell or tissuelysates and we deliver the Pre-run Membranes toyou. Then just incubate, detect and you're done!

You choices include:

•12 lysates, for examining protein expression inmultiple cells or tissues.

•2 lysates blotted in four replicates, for looking at control and treated samples (see figure).

•1 lysate, for examining expression of multiple proteins in one tissue at a time.
