ALTEA CVS 36.06.16 is an innovative device which incorporates 3 functions:

1) Current transducer (Rogowski type)2) Voltage transducer (Electrical Field sensing technology)3) Capacitive voltage detector for MV switchgear voltage indicating lamps.ALL IN ONE !

CVS 36.06.16 can be easily installed into Medium Voltage Switchboards with ratings up to 36 kV, 630 A, 16 kA for primary and secondary distribution. It can be used as an alternative to conventional current and voltage transformers. The voltage transducer is based on an electrical field sensor, which is not in contact with the busbars, while the current transducer is based on a special Rogowski sensor, a new technology fully developed by ALTEA (Patent Pending).Altea CVS sensors are extremely accurate and have a large bandwidth, thus being suitable also for applications like billing, fast transient detection, power quality monitoring, smart grid and diagnostic applications.CVS 36.06.16 output is represented by a voltage signal, which can be sent to digital protection relays, meters or monitoring systems. The transducers output voltage signal, can be easily adapted for specific needs, while maintaining system accuracy.
