    2.2 Responsible for : Supervision and AdministrativeSupport Activities during her shift

    2.3 Liaises with : Chief of Anesthesia/Head ofOperating Room Department, NursingSupervisors, Surgeons, MedicalPhysicians Hospital Support Services,Patients, Families and Visitors.

    4.0 Job Summary:4.1 Responsible for the overall operational/management of the Operating

    Room ensuring the patients receive the best level of care within theresources available and the staff receive the level of support they require.

    5.0 Duties and Responsibilities:5.1 Recognizes and assesses workload on a continuous basis throughout the

    shift providing visible leadership, genuine support and additionalhelp as appropriate.

    5.2 Acts as a trouble shooter in all areas investigating and resolving allproblems/issues/incidents to the extent possible liaising with the Chiefof Anesthesia, Head of Department and advising significant others wherenecessary and appropriate.

    5.3 Responds to all emergency situations, supporting staff in clinicalemergencies, guiding and directing staff in other situation whereappropriate.

    5.4 Identifies actual and potential risk issues and environmental hazards

    initiating appropriate precautionary measures.

    5.5 Establishes a visible professional relationship with nursing, medical andadministrative staff serving as a role model in the areas of punctuality,interpersonal skills and personal appearance.

    5.6 Practices and promotes open communication with all staff disciplines andencourages team work in a collaborative harmonious work environment.

    5.7 Assists staff in resolving personal and professional problems and

    participate in teaching and orienting new members of staff with specialemphasis in speaking English and Arabic language at work.

    5.8 Comply with the standards laid down by the Approved International,National Accreditation Standards.

    5.9 Actively and positively participates in the development andImplementation of the Department of Nursing Strategic Plans.

    5.10 Practices the nursing standards of courtesy and maintains patientsconfidentiality of information at all times.

    5.11 Initiation of data collection and analysis to develop effective system andto monitor efficiency and productivity.

    5.12 Provision and fiscal control of materials, supplies and equipment.

    5.13 Provision of educational opportunities to increase knowledge and skillsof all Operation Theatre staff.

    5.14 Responsibility for evaluating the performance of all Operating Roomstaff personnel and for assessing and continuously improving the qualityof care and services.

    5.15 Provision of competent staff and supportive services, adequatelyprepared to achieve quality patient care objectives.

    6.0 Educational Qualification and Licensures6.1 With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree

    6.2 Licensed Registered Nurse in Originating Country

    6.2 Licensed in Saudi Commission for Health Specialties

    7.0 Professional Experience:7.1

    Minimum of 5 years Operating Room experience preferably in MiddleEast

    7.2 Setting Standard and Measuring Outcomes

    7.3 Problem Solving and Diplomacy Skills

    7.4 Communication- Good Written and Verbal Skills

    8.0 Specialized Knowledge:8.1 Knowledge of the Practical Experience in the application of theater

    system

    8.2 Ability to work under stress

    8.3 Knowledge of change management
