STRAIGHT MOTION NETS ALPHAbelt
S2400INSTALLATION-MAINTENANCEINSTRUCTIONS:
The installation procedure of the conveyor beltsALPHAbelt 2400
is simple and fast.
Step 1:On the drive shaft and on the idle shaft put theneeded
amount of sprockets ALPHAbelt S2400.The teeth of all the sprockets
must be in the samestraight line (drawing 1).The middle sprocket of
the drive shaft and themiddle sprocket of the idle shaft, must, as
well, bein the same straight line (drawing 2).Lock on the shafts
the two middle sprockets
(drawing 2).Step 2:You receive each belt in one or roles.Connect
the end of the one role with thebeginning of the other. Never
connect the end ofthe one role with the end of the other or
thebegiining of the one with the beginning of theother. Insert the
connection rod through the holesof the segments, and cut it 1 cm
shorther than thebelts width. By using a thermal device, create
ahead (make the diameter smaller) of the twoedge holes of the
segments, in order to prevent
any possible extraction of the connection rod fromthe
segments.
Step 3:Put the conveyor belt on the conveyor and theteeth of the
sprockets in the insertions of the belt.
The belt which is under the metallic construction(to the return
of the belt), is not obligatory to bestreched (drawing 3).
Step 4:
The belt is ready to function.Attention: The middle should be in
the middle (inrelation to the width) of the metallic
constructionand should touch any point of it, because this
willcause its early damage or even break of the belt.Give motion to
the belt and watch, for a whole turnof the belt, first the
sprockets on the drive shaftand then on the idle shaft, to be in
the properinsertions of the belt.If this is not happen, repeat the
steps 1 & 3.
When you need to uninstall the belt, just extract
one or more plastic connection rods, in order todivide the belt
in smaller pieces.

The metallic construction on which the beltfunctions is the main
factor that defines its lastingduration. To succeed the longest
duration of thebelt, place a plastic wear strip between the beltand
the metalic construction (drawing 4).
To succeed the maximum capacity of the belt, isuseful to put a
roller right after the dirve shaft(drawing 5), so as the belt to
work with moresprockets teeth.
To avoid the belt contacting with the floor if there
is an expansion (in case of temperature increase),intall sliding
rollers (drawing 3).
The plastic motion sprockets, when installedproperly on a square
drive shaft, ensure the rightmotion transmission, without causing
side slidingsof the belt or jumping of the belt. The right
motiontransmission through the plastic sprockets,eliminates the
need to use belts stretchers andside guides.
When the sprockets are installed on the shaft and
the shaft on the metallic construction, the upperpoint of the
sprockets diametre (in relation to theteeth of the sprockets),
should be in the samestraight line with the upper point of the
metallicconstruction, on which the belt moves (drawing 6).The
motion sprockets can move the belt in bothdirections, under certain
circumstances.
Attention:Once a year, you should check the condition ofthe
connection rod.If its diameter becomes smaller in percentage15% and
more, it should be replaced, becauseotherwise it will cause
problems such as: a.Jumping of the sprockets, b. Disability to
extractthe connection rod from the belt, c. Early andgreat damage
of the belt, in the points that contactthe sprockets, d.
Unreasonable break of the belt,e. Early damage of the sprockets
teeth.During the function of the belt, a grease to theconnection
rod (even with water), will give much
longer duration.
