Symptom

Although you enter a profit center in the material master of the order header material, this profit center is not copied to the production order.

Reason and Prerequisites

A possible cause can be found in activated user exit PPCO0006 (EXIT_SAPLCOZF_003). This exit is supposed to specify the default value of various fields when creating a production order (see documentation for PPCO0006 !), among other things also the profit center. If it is activated and the profit center is not explicitly filled in the customer enhancement, the profit center found before is revoked from the material master. You should program the enhancement in such a way that the profit center is filled or remains unchanged.

Solution

In order to update production orders which are not assigned to the current profit center, use report ZPRCTRFI.
