Hello, We are Mary Beth and
Brian, and we thank you for reading our profile. We
realize that choosing adoption for your child will most likely be one of, if not the most difficult decision you will make in your life.
For this you have our respect and gratitude as you
will be giving others a gift that words cannot
adequately express.
We have been together for ten· years and married for the last eight. Unfortunately we have not been able to have a child on our own which is
why we have chosen adoption to fulfill our dream of building a family. We
lead full and active lives, but we long to love and raise a child together. We know we can provide your child with a
happy, safe, and loving ho.me from which they can grow into a healthy and
successful adult.
Thank you for considering us. Over the next few pages we want to share
with you a glimpse into our lives which will help to show why we believe we would be wonderful adoptive parents
for your baby. "'
We met in October of 2004 via Match.com (we should have our
own commercial!) For our first date we met in a coffee shop and then
decided to take a stroll on the main street in town.
We immediately felt comfortable with each other. We walked and talked for several hours. At the
end of the evening we both knew we would see each other again
very soon.
Over the next two years as we got to know each other better, our
relationship grew as we realized we both had similar values, goals
and desires for our lives.
We became engaged in May of 2006 with a romantic proposal
under a Moongate in St. George's, Bermuda and were married six months later in October. We chose a beautiful old inn in
Connecticut for our private outdoor ceremony.

About Mary Beth
I was born and raised in a small seaside town in Eastern Canada, the youngest of three children. My childhood was centered around education and family. I
grew up in a wonderful neighborhood with many other children and spent lots of time playing outdoors. I love children, animals, being out in nature, and the
ocean!
I remain close with my two older sisters, one of whom has two adopted children, a son and a daughter. As they live in Canada we do not see them as often as
we would like, but we Skype and talk on the phone to catch up! I also have several godchildren and we love spending time with them.

I
I attended university and chose a career in Nursing. I have been a Registered Nurse for twenty two years, the last fifteen being an
Oncology nurse specializing in the administration of Chemotherapy. have a strong work ethic, and my career has given me a unique
understanding of what is truly important in life: family, appreciating your loved ones, making t~e most of every day, and never taking your
blessings for granted.

While my career has given me a deep sense of fulfillment, I feel that becoming a mother will truly make me the best person I can be in my
lifetime. I have so much love, patience, wisdom and guidance to give a child and I believe I have the maturity and judgment to balance working
part time with raising your child.
My friends and family fully support our decision to adopt and are so excited to be part of our lives with a child.
About Brian
I was born and raised in the same town in which we currently live. I am the youngest of two and my brother also lives in the same town. During my
childhood I was always surrounded by family as I had grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who all lived within a ten mile radius. Family continues to be an important part of my life as I speak to and see my brother and cousins
regularly.
I have always been a health and fitness fan. Growing up I played whatever sport was in season but drifted towards ice hockey as I got older. In my adult
life I have started doing more endurance events such as triathlons and marathons. My family members are huge NY Giants fans, and season ticket
holders for the past 40 years!
! My family has always been involved with public service and there are many police officers,
firemen, medics, teachers and l')urses in the family. I was a volunteer fireman for many years. I was also the first in my family to attend a four year academic college, graduating with a degree in business and specializing in Information Technology. I have worked in
Information Technology for over twenty years.
Beach fun in Nova Scotia Triathlon Finisher! Proud godfather!
I like to spend my free time being active. Whether biking, jogging, playing golf with Mary Beth (she can't beat me yet but she's closing the gap), working on the house and yard or
just chasing my cousins kids around I'm usually on the move.
I do not have the words to adequately express the joy I would feel at becoming a father. I would be so blessed to have this little person to whom I could provide a lifetime of love and guidance. Fatherhood is a huge responsibility and one that I do not take lightly. I feel my life experience (both good and bad) has prepared me to play this role. With the support of
Mary Beth and our family I know that we will provide a wonderful home for your child .
Our Home and Family
We have been in our home since our marriage and have spent considerable time converting our vision for the house into reality. The house is a ranch style home with
/
a covered side porch and big deck in the rear overlooking the backyard. While the two of us are quite comfortable in our home, when we are fortunate to adopt a child we will
look to purchase something slightly bigger, but plan to remain here in our current town!
Mary Beth's family lives in Canada, and we have family close by as two of Brian's cousins live within two miles and Brian's brother lives about eight miles away. We each have godchildren who live close by and we see often. Family gatherings are
important including the annual reunion in July. We spend holidays with family and we host Thanksgiving dinner every year. Our families would be overjoyed with the
addition of a new family member to share in these traditions.

We are a blended faith family as Mary Beth is Protestant and
Brian is Catholic. For us it is not about which religion is the
"rightu one. We believe that at the core, all religions and faiths share a common desire to make the world a better place. We try to live our lives by following the basic values we were raised on; honesty, kindness, cha~jty and
always trying to do the right thing.

Our Free Time
We are an active couple and we love traveling. Every
Augus~ we make an annual trip to Canada to visit Mary Beth's family. Springtime
always finds us planning a trip to a warm destination and
we have been fortunate to visit many beautiful islands!
We long for the day when we can share our love of traveling
with your child, and see the world through a child's eyes.
