Quello che colpisce della Casa Colonica Toscana è lasua storia antica che nasce ufficialmente con la

prima pubblicazione nel 1770 del trattato “La Casa dècontadini” di Ferdinando Morozzi stampato dall’edi-tore Cambiagi a Firenze che indica tutte le tecnichecostruttive per realizzare correttamente una CasaColonica Toscana e che afferma che:“la Casa Colonica Toscana è la più bella abitazionemai concepita dall’uomo”.

La Casa Colonica Toscana è creata dalla semplicità edall’eleganza di numerosi dettagli architettonici che

la caratterizzano come la torre colombaia, le logge fines-trate, i camini, i soffitti, le travi in legno, le volte, le scalein pietra, gli intonaci ondulati, gli archi in mattoni, iportici, le tettoie.Tutti gli elementi sono posizionati in un equilibriocadenzato da una composizione artistica che regala acolui che l’ammira emozione e commozione.

The Tuscan style farmhouse:its origins.

The most striking aspect of the Tuscan Farmhouse isits history, dating back to 1770, when a treatise by

Ferdinando Morozzi titled: “La casa dè contadini”was first published by Cambiagi publishing companyin Florence. The book describes all construction tech-niques needed to build an authentic Tuscan farmhouseproperly, and states:“The Tuscan style farmhouse is the most beautifultype of house that mankind has ever conceived..”

The Tuscan farmhouse is defined by the simplicityand elegance of numerous characteristic architec-

tural details such as the dovecote, the windowed log-gias, the chimneys, the ceilings, the wood beams, thevaults, the stone staircases, the corrugated plaster, thebrick arches, the porticoes and Tuscan roofing style. Allthese elements are set in rhythmic balance by an artisticcomposition that will arouse excitement and emotionin those who view it.
