President's Message

I heard on the news the other day that they are predicting a hotter than normal summer. Whether you enjoy the heat or not, remember we are Canadian and always seem to think the weather is too hot or too cold.

I have just returned from the Annual General Meeting of the Heritage Chapter Presidents that was held in Windsor this year. The Heritage Chapters are very active in events all across Canada. As part of this event a donation of $300 was made by Simcoe Chapter for the Children's Health Foundation.

We have a big line up of interesting tours and a couple of Mandarin Luncheons to offer our members in this newsletter. We hope to have several of you come out and enjoy our planned events. Guests are always welcome to attend these events with you.

We are also actively working on a combined Christmas luncheon with the Pineridge Chapter. More information on that event in our next newsletter.

Mandarin Luncheon - Wednesday, May 18, 2016

A good time was had by all 30 participants who attended this luncheon. Some new faces and some regulars. We held our usual draw for 5 Tim Horton Gift Cards as well as a draw for dinner /lunch for two at the Mandarin. Congratulations to all the winners. $40 was collected towards our Food Bank Donation.
