Capture

From our blog at http://blogs.maryville.edu/learn/ldtsupportedtechnologies/

D2L Capture is a lecture capture tool that allows for screen, audio and video recording. Capture also allows for the broadcasting of live presentations. For installation of the capture desktop software (it does come in Mac and Windows versions), contact the helpdesk. For user documentation, see this guide on: Desire2Learn Capture 7. After you have successfully recorded your lecture, make sure to publish it to the appropriate folder, then you can log in to capture.maryville.edu using your Maryville email address and password. Locate your folder and recording and find the URL for the recording. Sometimes it does take some time for the recording to be published to the server, so be patient. You can copy the URL and either email it to your class or post it into your D2L course (or anywhere you like).

There are options to keep things private by requesting a password be set up on your recording. If you will be creating a lot of presentations and want to keep them all private, let us know and we can work with you on the best way to proceed.
