Fighting Techniques

Back Kick- judge opponents distance from you carefully; lash out with your back legs, taking your weight on your front paws.

Belly Rack- slice with unsheathed claws across soft flesh of opponent. If pinned, the belly rack will put you back in control.

Front Paw Blow- bring your front paw down on opponents head with sheathed claws.

Front Paw Strike- slice downward with your front paw at the body or face of your opponent with unsheathed claws.

Killing Bite- a death blow to the back of the neck or throat; only used for a last resort.

Leap-and-hold- spring onto opponents back and grip with unsheathed claws; watch for the drop-and-roll counter move.

Drop-and-roll- roll onto your back when opponent is using the leap-and-hold move.

Partner Fighting- pairs of cats clawing, slashing and leaping together; battle pairs are a whirlwind of danger for attackers.

Play Dead- when you are pinned, go limp until opponent loosens grip; then throw him off.

Scruff Shake- Secure a strong tooth grip in the scruff of the opponents neck and shake until he cant fight back.

Tooth Grip- sink your teeth in the opponents legs, tail, scruff or ears; similar to the leap-and-hold, but your paws are free to claw.

Upright Lock- rear up on back legs and bring full weight down on weakened opponent.

Leap- and roll- when opponent springs, roll on your back and slide under paws, while tripping cat by digging claws into opponents back legs; as your enemy lays stunned on the ground, leap and attack.

Head-butt- if enemy is reared up on back legs, ram into their belly with your head and send him flying away.

Flip Spring- when you scent an opponent, stop where you are; find your target, spring into the air, flip over in the air (summersault), to jump farther, and land on top of opponent or even prey

Tail Spin- come up behind enemy and grab hold of the opponents tail; put all of your energy into spinning your opponent and when in mid-spin, let go to send him flying away

High Jump- Jump into the air and land somewhere away from your opponent; then head-butt into him when enemy starts to leave; he will flee from surprise

False Alarm- when opponent is about to attack, look up with a scared look upon your face, and act as if there is a hawk, eagle, or owl in the air about to attack; when enemy follows your eyes, attack

Lightning Strike- strike hard and fast; once an enemy is spotted, get up so close behind them until you can almost touch them. Wait for the signal and then pounce. If the whole patrol pounces at once, it causes confusion among the enemy

Night Ambush- ambush a cat at night by staying hidden in the dark shadows and then attack

Slide-Over- as opponent stalks you, run at enemy and slide onto belly with paws outstretched. Front paws will hit front paws and send enemy falling forwards. Kick out with back legs to send enemy on back and then pin your opponent down on the ground

Bush Slice- have at least three other cats with you; all of you hide in a bush. You cat will leap out with unsheathed claws at first enemy you see, and then you will disappear back in bush. The process is repeated with the other three cats until enemy flees

Tunnel Strike- you have to be a small enough cat to fit into a rabbit hole; find a small tunnel where no cat would think to look for you and wait for your enemy. When enemy doesnt expect anything, spring from the tunnel and attack with full force and unsheathed claws

Snake Bite- bring your head and chest forward with speed while front paws come off the ground and your back legs keep you balanced. Bite down on target, and then come back in a recoiled position. (Need great balance and fast speed; exactly like a snake)

Dizzy Tackle- a great move for swift young warriors facing older, larger warriors. You run in circles around them at top speed until theyre too dizzy or tired (if they were chasing you) to keep up. Then you tackle them. While they are down, attack. Caution, standing directly over them makes you vulnerable to the Belly Rake. This is a One-on-one move and is not recommended in a place with many foes.

Tail Trip- lash tail harshly out against enemys legs and trip. Pounce when enemy is on ground.

Toe Slice- slice out with unsheathed claws at the enemys toes and they wont be able to stand for some time

Water Combat Moves

Rushpaw Splash-Using noise of water splashed at a distance to create a decoy, leaving the opportunity to attack

Double-Front-Paw Slap Down- splashes water in an enemys face

Underwater Leg Sweep- when in battling in water, sweep hind or front legs at opponent under the water and hit their legs to make him loose his balance

Push-down and Release- push enemys head under water, if non-Riverclan, and then let them come back up; makes enemy surrender quickly

Underwater Clinch- use your weight to hold opponent under water, and then bring him up again and then down once more

Tail Splash- splash tail in water to splash in enemys eyes with a flick of your wet tail

Underwater Push-off- hold breath under water, and spring out at opponent with surprise and then attack

Drowning Surprise- pretend that you are drowning and when you have fooled enemy into helping you, attack the enemy with full force; only used when surprise attacking another Clan

Waterleaf Spin- take a large leaf while you are in the water with multiple enemies. Spin around in the water while just lightly spinning the leaf on top of the waters surface, causing water droplets to strike enemies with speed and leave nasty stings

Aboveground Battle Moves

Sky-Drop-climb a high tree, quietly, and wait on a branch. When enemy is below your branch, drop, with claws unsheathed and land on enemys back

Sky-Crusher- land with all four feet on top of opponent

Flick-Over- land with front paws outstretched to sweep opponent off his feet and roll him onto his back

The Kick- kick down hard as you near the ground, then use momentum from landing to spring away before opponent can attack

The Slice- drop down with claws unsheathed for maximum injury

Branch Swing- hold onto branch with front claws and swing hind legs into opponents face;

Reverse Branch Swing- hold onto branch with hind claws and strike with front legs through the swing

Trunk Spring- slid down trunk and spring off at head height, use hind legs to push off and clear over opponents (good if tree is surrounded)

Reverse Climb- climb backward up the trunk as the opponent advances to gain advantage of height; often followed by Trunk Spring

Tail Signals

Tail Held Erect: Stop.

Tail Rippling: Move forward with care.

Tail Held Erect And Sweeping Slowly: Retreat Slowly.

Tail Pointing Low, Parallel to Ground, and Sweeping: Spread out.

Tail Flattened: Get down.

Tail Bobbing: Enemy sighted.

Tail Hooked: Danger.

Tail Pointing Sharply: Go that way.

Tail Held Erect and Waving From Side To Side: Stay behind me.

Tail Kinked Over Back: Follow me.

The Warrior Code

1. Defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life. You may have friendships in others Clans, but your loyalty must remain with your Clan.

2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clans territory.

3. Elders, queens and kits are to be fed before warriors and apprentices. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until the elders are fed.

4. Prey is to be killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to Starclan for its life.

5. A kit must at least six moons old to become an apprentice. They are then given a mentor.

6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night, until dawn, after receiving their warrior name.

7. A cat CANNOT be deputy without given at least one apprentice.

8. The deputy will always become leader, without objection, when the leader dies, retires or is banished.

9. After the death, retirement or banishment of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before Moonhigh.

10. A Gathering of all Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts the night. There shall be NO fighting during this time.

11. Boundaries must be checked at every dawn, sunhigh, and evening and marked each time.

12. NO warrior may neglect ANY kit if it is in pain or danger.

13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.

14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill to win his/her battles.

15. Reject the soft life of a kittypet.

Warrior Biographies

Hazelburrow: was a golden tabby tom with green-blue eyes. He was the son of Katestar, the mate of Copperstar and the father of Bronzeheart and Softlily. Hazelburrow disappeared from BlogClan, leaving Copperstar and their kits.

Spark: was a light brown tabby tom with white muzzle and chest, and green eyes. He was the son of Adderstar and Fireclaw, and the brother of Dawnstreak, Bloom, and Selenaspark. He died while living with the Dusk Syndicate, most likely in a battle with BlogClan. He really wasnt an enemy, and shouldnt have been killed. He now resides in StarClan with his sister Bloom.

Bloom: was a tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with blue-green eyes. She was the daughter of Adderstar and Fireclaw, and the sister of Spark, Dawnstreak, and Selenaspark. When she had been a Dusk Syndicate cat she had made great friends with Copperstar (Copperpaw then) and together they had trained in the Dark Forest and discovered the dark secrets of the evil cats as well. She was killed by Cinnamonswirl, and she has helped many other cats while she resides in StarClan peacefully. Bloomshadow, one of Copperstars daughters, was named after the StarClan cat.

Dawnstreak: was a tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with green eyes. She was the daughter of Adderstar and Fireclaw, and the sister of Spark, Bloom and Selenaspark. She was once mates with Ashstorm and the mother of Brackenkit, Dewkit, and Duskkit before she disappeared.

Pineshadow: is a large, brown, and white tortoiseshell tom with soft green eyes. Heis strong and a skilledfighter although he can't dodge attacks very easily but it isquite hard to knock him off his paws. His power means his attacks can belethal but slow so they are easier to dodge. He is a very loyal and caring cat, but doesn't like to take risks for the sake of it, although he will do anything to help a cat in danger. He is Oakleaf's littermate and he couldnt bear to lose his brother and was very worried about him when he got sick with the illness. He has mentored Daisypaw.

Flowerspots: was a tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with amber eyes. She was Wildhearts mate, and the mother of Rosebriar, Darkstorm, Razorclaw, and Stormleap.

Rainpath: is an energetic gray-and-white warrior with ice-blue eyes. Her parents were Blanco, a pure white loner, and Rose, a gracefully kittypet who left her Twolegs to be with him. Before Rainpath was born Blanco was killed by a fox while trying to protect Rose. After his death, Rose was found by her lost brother who had disappeared into the forest as a kit. He brought her back to BlogClan where she took the name Rosebriar and gave birth to Rainpath. Playful and peace-loving, Rainpath loves to hunt and patrol with friends. She will fight to the death for her clanmates, but only if it is the only solution. She is Copperstar's cousin and has great respect for the leader. She was mentor to Softlily and is mates with Oakleaf,mother of hiskits, Patchfur, Acornpelt and Feathermoon. She has mentored Softlily.

Forgottensong: is a light silver tabby tom with pale green eyes. He is the very close brother of Blazingfire.

Blazingfire: is an orange tom with light midnight blue eyes that almost look purplish. He is the very close brother of Forgottensong.

Fallingsnow: is a pure black tom with intense green eyes. He can be very sarcastic and cold, but nice at times. His adopted mother is Halfmoon. He is very close to her, but not in the way of a mother and her kits. He is the mate of Omenstorm, and is one of the very few cats that know her secret he was mentored by Emeraldnight. He is very proud of his daughter Tawnylove, Ravenstorm and Shimmerheart for being such great warriors, and he wishes his son, Stormowl was the same way, but doesnt favor one over the other.

Oakleaf: is a dark golden tabby tom with amber eyes. He is sensible and strong, but has a fierce temper sometimes. He is the son of Cherryleaf and Emberblaze, the brother of Pineshadow, the mate of Rainpath, and the father of Patchfur, Acornpelt and Feathermoon. He has mentored Waterpetal and Sparrowpaw.

Fadingstorm: is a light silver tabby with two distinctive lines going from the corner of his eyes to the back of his head. His pelt has rather splotchy stripes than the ordered, typical tabby marks. He has a white chest and belly, and his fur is very long. No matter how much it is groomed, it doesn't stay down and that gives him a very young and kit-like look. His eyes are a deep blue. In terms of personality, he is very outgoing and loves to socialize. He has very strong feelings, and can act very differently and seriously when they are present. He has a hard time trying to express his feelings. Usually, he is a very goofy cat who loves to go far to keep others entertained. He is the son of Birdchirp and Darkstorm, and the brother of Halfmoon. She was tra
