Pastor Jonathan Hall was born into a pastor's family. His father was a Minister of Music in Topeka, KS when Jonathan was born. In 1994, Jonathan and his other family members (4 other brothers and sisters living in the home) moved to Coffeyville, KS. It was in Coffeyville that Jonathan really remembers being taught much of what he knows about the church. The Hall family has ministered in Coffeyville, KS for the past 23+ years which has been a blessing for the whole family!

Jonathan decided to go to MidAmerica Nazarene University (where 3 other siblings had already attended) after graduating from Field Kindley Memorial High School in Coffeyville, KS. There was much question as to what degree he would end up with in the end. However, when it was discovered that he could finish with a BA in Music and marry the love of his life (Jordan Arrowsmith) the decision was much easier!

Jonathan and Jordan both graduated in May 2009 and got married on July 25, 2009! Through a set of circumstances that only God could orchestrate Jonathan was hired to become a music teacher at a nearby town (Cherryvale, KS). It was through this opportunity that Jonathan had the fire lit in him once again and it became evident that there was a huge calling on his life. Therefore, he decided to quit his job and attempt to complete his seminary degree. However, after a year and with the birth of their son he decided to take a job at the local schools.

Jeremiah Daniel Hall was born June 19, 2012! Jonathan spent the next 2 years teaching in the local schools (Coffevyille, KS). He loved every minute of it but God's calling was still reverberating through his heart and soul. It finally became apparent to Jonathan that he needed to quit teaching and attend Nazarene Theological Seminary and work full-time for the church.

Throughout all of life's experiences one thing has continued to be apparent...the call of God on Jonathan's life to be a full-time minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This desire led Jonathan & Jordan to take a leap of faith and move to Excel, AL. It was in Excel that the Lord blessed Jonathan & Jordan once again with a beautiful baby on January 11, 2017 (Julianna Lynn)!

Jonathan desires to use his life to speak on behalf of God and watch how God will continue to change people's lives as they are saved and sanctified. He truly enjoys serving in the local church body and prays that the Church will continue to be empowered to be the body of Christ through the power of the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

A testimony of conversion and sanctification experience.Conversion...When I was around 4 or 5 years old my mother was driving the car and my other 4 siblings around Topeka, KS. Mom began to ask questions to my siblings about their experience in asking Jesus into their hearts and lives. I listened to their answers and then turned to mom and asked her if I could have Jesus in my heart and life too. She said of course! I asked Jesus into my heart at that young of an age. However, there were times when I struggled with the thought of God being able to love someone that continued to sin. I would go to the altar and pray again and again asking for forgiveness.

Sanctification...The summer right after I had turned 16 was an incredible summer. I attended teen camp, NYC, children's camp and district assembly. It was at district assembly when an old General Superintendent (Dr. Bond) began to preach. He spoke about his opportunity of making it into the NBA. However, instead he truly devoted his life 100% to Christ and went into the ministry. The Holy Spirit began to tug on my heart in a big way and I went to the altar and told God that I desired to give Him everything. In fact my promise was that if he wanted to take music from me and never let me play or sing another song that was my desire. Instead, God gave me a new desire and a new heart for music and the way that it connects people to Him! Throughout the years that have followed the Holy Spirit has never stopped working on my heart and life. He continuously asks me to give more and more of myself to Him in service and worship.

Top Five Gifts In Ministry Relational

o I have been told by professors in college that they would be shocked if I ever met a stranger. I enjoy and am invigorated when I spend time with people either in groups or one-on-one. Throughout the last few years of ministry I have truly enjoyed to a deeper level the amount of intimacy and discipleship that can occur around a lunch or dinner table. These moments are incredible moments of grace and I enjoy this type of ministry a great deal.

Desire for the Word of God to be spoken & understoodo I have truly enjoyed working through a book of the Bible in an

extended series. The hope in this type of preaching series is that the whole congregation will dive into a book of the Bible and truly grasp the message that is inside of it. In this way, individuals within the congregation can return to the book later when that message either needs to be spoken to them once again or to another person that they are helping through life’s challenges. However, I also find that it is often good to split these larger series up and will put in a few mini-series throughout the extended larger series (usually more topical).

Music o I love music and God has truly equipped this to be an area of ministry

that is both enjoyable for me and it’s also a blessing. To assist or lead the people of God into worship is a huge responsibility and shouldn’t be taken lightly. To that degree I find the preparation for a service to be important and worth prayerful consideration throughout the process.

Communication o I truly enjoy speaking to people. It doesn't matter the size of the group

I find it exhilarating to speak and help guide through life's ups and downs. I also enjoy seeing when the light within people seems to be turned on. In that moment, they all of a sudden understand more of the grace of God for salvation, for an answer to a difficult situation or they simply fall more in love with that grace that extends throughout one’s life.

Desire for the church to live out the mission of GodO I believe that the church today must begin to grasp how to live out the

mission of God. I spent time at the General Assembly this year and was struck when seeing that the numerical numbers for USA/Canada Region have essentially stayed the same for the past 10 years. It is time that the church experiences revival once again. We can’t do this without seeking the Lord. We can’t do this without falling in love with the mission of God. We can’t do this without denying ourselves and following Christ. We can’t accomplish this without Loving God & Loving People. The world is counting on us. God is counting on us. We weren’t saved just so that we could go to heaven one day. We were saved so that we could be a part of bringing heaven to earth (The Lord’s Prayer & John 15). I enjoy seeing a congregation come to grips with the Lord’s mission and going all out in their love and devotion to the One and Only Jesus Christ!
